Have you told your friends & family?

I'm just curious to know who has told their friends & family about the pregnancy.

I have only told my best friend, but think I will wait a few weeks unti I tell anyone else. Even family. I'm only 4 and a half weeks.....

we told family at 6weeks, but have not told many friends yet. I think we are slowly being sprung though as I am usually quite small and with this being number 3 tummy muscles are history and I have popped out quite significantly. I am 8 weeks now - had our first scan today very exciting.

Congrats to you both. I am six weeks. First scan tomorrow (exciting). I told one of my close girlfriends today, mainly because she is due in July, and I have been DYING to tell her.

Other than that, my DH and I are keeping it quite until the blood test results (which will be taken at 10 weeks) and the final scan comes up ok. Then we'll tell our relos and family.

Seems like a long wait!!!

I am going to have a scan at about 6 -7 weeks and will tell after that. I tried to keep it a secret with DS but won't bother this time.

Except everyone on here knows already and some people on here I know IRL so I expect it will get out sooner than I would like.

We have told all our family and a couple of close friends. We figure we would tell them if anything went wrong anyway so we may as well share these exciting first few weeks with them :)

We have told everybody and anybody who will listen :laughing: !! I was the same with my first 3. If i had a history of m/c i would maybe wait a bit but :fingerscrossed: this one is as plain sailing as my others :)

My best friend was with me when I tested, as she got me the test three weeks ago today. dp was asleep (shift worker) and I felt too sick too drive and get the test myself.

I told another of my good girlfriends a few days ago as she had her baby a month ago and I knew she would be excited - I didn't anticipate her bursting into tears on the phone though!!!!

I dont want to tell family yet as my sister is overseas for another two weeks and
I want her to be one of the first to know.

but I'm 99% certain I'll be telling my mum tomorrow.

DH and I told our parents on the weekend at 4.5weeks. Also my 2x brothers. We won't tell anyone else until 12 weeks to be safe! But it's nice to have the family know :p

I told my online buddies when I first find out. I also told my immediate family (mum, dad and sister) as they are in the UK. They were sworn to secrecy lol.

Then we had our scan this week so we told MIL and we assume she will tell the rest of DH's family too. We are seeing some friends over the weekend so we will tell them too.

I suppose the word is fully out there now lol.

Hi Girls,

We have only told my mum and step-dad, and today I told one of the girls I work with (only because we have talked about it a few times and I hate lying).

Definately with work trying to keep it quiet as long as possible, probably start letting friends know around 10 weeks or as we see them.

DH is away at the moment - so I rang him after I tested...I was going to wait until he got home on the weekend however I couldnt!

I have also told my mum and dad and BF! I am going to wait to tell other close friends and family until after I have my dating scan at 8/9w
