What did your wedding flowers cost?

I'm specifically interested to hear from those who bought their flowers from a florist. Can you please give me a rough idea of what you got and how much you paid?

I was going with a florist. For $380 i got a really good deal (or so i thought). I got the bridal flowers, two bridesmaids flowes. Pin ones for the guys, a throwing bunch. But inthe end i went with my MIL. She owns a flower farm and it didnt cost a cent!!! :D

Wedding Flowers I Paid:

$100- bridesmaids each
$250- Mine, really big
$300- church, 3 big arrangments
$5- boys flower each
$10- parentseach
$10- bunch on tables each

It may look alot but was so.. much cheaper then other florists and were excellent, lasted the whole day and it was a hot day!

80 for my gerbras
30 for my bridesmaid gerbras

and we got married outside in the cobden gardens in march an the roses where in full bloom BEAUTIFUL and free

I paid $200. I got a big bouquet, a medium one and a small one, 6 button holes, 4 wrist corsages and one table arrangement for the alter... oh and I used white daisies :)

It cost me almost $2000 all up. My bouquet alone was about $800! :eek: My flowers were white oriental lillies, roses, orchids & tulips.

I got a great deal and only paid about $280 that was for about 10 button holes 10 corsages. A bouquet of roses (posy bunch)and a throw away, two bridesmaids bunches of roses, and rose petals for the tables.

My Mum got my large bunch of Iris's from a family friend who also has a flower farm for $25 we did not need a lot of flowers we we got married in my Mum garden :flowerz:

I had gerberas for myself & 3 bridesmaids, daisy buttonholes for the groom, 3 groomsmen & the 2 fathers and 3 grandfathers, daisy corsages for the 2 mothers & 3 grandmothers, basket of various flowers for the flower girl, and some lillies to cover the archway under which we were married.

I got up at 5am to go to the flower markets at Flemington (we were living in Sydney when we got married) but it was worth it!! I got all that and change from a fifty!!

$300 all up I think,..... Mine was a massive bunch of freesias,..they were all gathered together in a cluster and tied with a huge crream calico ribbon,..smelt divine! And we also got gardenias to stuff the bamboo lengths for the tables, and to cluster on top of the cake! beautiful,..and really simple,.

$140 - for my bouquet of latte/coffee roses, cream/white lisianthus (sp?), 3 succulents, black and green privy berries and foilage
$14 - for bms single rose each with ribbon
$24 - for 4 buttonholes (grooms buttonhole extra detail with rose, lisi and berries)
$44 - for 2 mothers corsages of mini roses
$20 - for cake topper of roses, lisi and berries.

So thats $242 all up - hope that helps your research. Oh will mention she is a proper florist and advertisers in big bridal mags and has even done some of the shoots but she does have the set up at home.

i bought silk flowers as were we got married was too far away and too hard to get fresh ones too. we celebrated out 2nd anniversary last month and the flowers still look exactly the same.
i know one chick that had fresh and got the flowers to do another the same in silk so she had her bouquet for ever, i would have just had the silk one the whole way.
i had frangipanis and i actually put fragrance on the ribbons so they even smelt real!!
any way to the price
i spent just under $1000
for mine and 2 bridesmaids, and also button holes( i think thats what they r called) for 3 men
it was well worth the $$

1 x buttonhole for groom(getting fake ones made for the rest by my crafty nanna)

2 x frangipani headgarlands for flower girls
1 x throw bouquet
1 stem of orchids for my hair
4 x frangipanis for BM's hair

Hi my weddings in October and the prices for my flowers are-
im havin a teardrop bouget which consists of tuplips lillies etc thats $180
bridesmaids times 3 lillies and tuplips bouget thats $100
grooms men for orchids $5 -10

We were married in April when Roses are in season.
Our florist charged us $1 a rose and then a flat $50 for the service.

She was a lovely florist in a country town so I don't know if you will find that anywhere else.

I think the average is somewhere between $250 and $500 for flowers.

They cost $45 (got gerbras from the florist then did them up)
that was for 3 lots gathered together then had pink ribbon around them.

My one had 30 in it, then the other two had 18.

It was very funny watching 3 Army guys, sitting at a table making up bouquet.

I am Chris Freville, my friend (since 1st December 1995) Maria Christina just married with her boyfriend last month and I take care all the flower job. It was a great wedding ceremony and all the flowers cost $600

From memory my bouquet was approx. $150, and my bridemaid's was $100 each. Table arrangements (vases of stunning roses) were approx $150 each I think?

i paid $110 from a gold coast florist.

i got my bouquet plus a thowaway (roses)
8 single roses with ibbons for the maids and mothers.
a small basket of petals for my flower girl
and 6 buttonholes.



the flowers for the church cost me $20 and the lovely ladies that usually do the flowers for the church did them for us. we used them at the church then took them to the reception and i then donated them back to the church for use during the week.

This is the quote that i've been given from my florist (getting married next oct)

12" sized posy of Oriental Lillies for myself = $85
Slightly smaller posy of Stargazer lillies for the bridesmaids = $60 each (i have four bm's)
Seven button holes for the men (includes fathers) = $6 each
Corsages for the mothers - 2x $15 and 2x $8

So far, that comes up to $413 that has been quoted. We'll also be getting cake top flowers that match mine, and flowers for the hair for myself and the bm's, and maybe a wand thing with flowers out of the top for the flowergirl (my dd)
