I knitted myself a pair of soakers and attempted to lanolise them - then read the instructions on how to do it after the fact - now I've used Lansinoh - but too much, now my soakers are very sticky! what can I do to reverse this? just wash them a few times?
and I was so looking forward to trying them and avoid a wet DS!

I'd just use 'em anyway! I often over-lanolise (I'm a more is less person!) and I find they feel sticky to start off with, but it seems to disappear after a wear! (Although it depends on how sticky they are!)

I'm sure if you washed them in a wool wash without lanolin you'd solve the problem!

I'd just use them . I always use too much(kind of on purpose....want to make sure they really are lanolised, lol) and find they are only sticky for one or two wears. Also when you lanolise turn them inside out and put them in crotch first(esp. with longies -the legs don't really need the lanolin). That way all the lanolin gets where it is needed most. And any stickiness is on the inside rahter than the outside!

Yup, like the others said, use 'em anyway. That sticky feeling will wear off really fast.

ok will try - but won't all that sitcky get onto his pj's?? it almost feels like honey!

oh and good advice on putting them inside out first! makes good logical sense!

 Lol! Just how much lanolin have got on those longies?!!! :p

If they're so sticky they'll leave stuff on his PJs I'd give them a quick wash, you probably don't want lanolin residue on his PJs!!!!!
