OK this might sound dumb.......but.......(bit embarassing)

OK, well I was late for AF this month, took a test the day after I was due....

Negative.

The 5 days later it arrived...

Lasted for only 2 days of bleeding...bright red...then nothing...I mean absolutely nothing....

Is this something normal, as its not with me.... I know all bodies are different, but I'm usually regular, and thought this was strange....

Its not something I usually talk about with anyone.... I mean NO-ONE....

Should I get checked out from the doctor?? Any thoughts of the possibility of why...

I know you arent medical professionals, but everyone has ideas...opinions...and doctors are usually my last resort...

try doing another test perhaps? maybe the first one was done too early..
did u use fmu?
other than that, i know u say u dont like doctors, but just go and get a referral for a blood test..then you will know for sure.

I thought so until I got AF, but I'm still feeling the same as I was before hand...feeling 'off'...

Might grab a test tomorrow...if I build up enough courage.... Maybe tonight....

No it wasnt FMU, it was mid morning, but its a digital test, which isnt suppose to matter when..so...???

Just wanted to say that I heard FMU does matter even for digital tests, they still go by your hormone levels kwim?

I would test again with FMU if I were you!

I get very embarrassed talking to people/Drs about this but the Dr I see I have been going to for 15 years so I mostly comfortable with her now.

Hijack comment -- I saw my Dr the other day for a pap smear and while she was down there and I am trying to breath and remain relax she makes a comment about the good amount of ovulation mucus. I know its only little but I got so embarressed!:o

But test tonight! I am going to keep checking the thread to see the result!

I just dont understand it all... I have 1 son, but missed out on all this stuff, so have no idea....as I found out at 24 weeks along with him, no sign of pregnancy at all...and was skipping my period for work....on the pill...

I have been tracking my cycles for 18 months and I still struggle to determine when I Oed.
With you I would think you would have Oed anywhere between CD11 to CD15 so I you are not pregnant this cycle maybe BD on CD7,9,11,13,15,17.
With the negative pregnancy test it could be as simple as not enough time for HCG Hormone (the hormone that is tested) to have built up if you are pregnant. This hormone is produced once the egg/sperm implant into the uterus. Implantation can take up to 12 days from ovulation.
There are a lot of reasons you could have bleeding when you are pregnant so if you think the last AF was different and you think there is a chance of being pregnant I would say test again and talk to your Dr about it.

DF is coming home tonight, so he is buying a test on the way home....

Will test in the morning, to get the best results.... Feel kinda silly...Maybe I should wait until next month to see, so I dont get disappointed....again

Can I ask another silly question???

Do you feel anything in particular this early on if you ARE pregnant?? I hear people saying how this is sore, and they feel that, but it would be a bit early wouldnt it...

I have been feeling nauseous since before I was due for AF, and still feel that way....but then DS is sick, so could be that... I also dont feel like eating certain things, yet feel like things I havent had in ages.....

I am guessing I just have a tummy bug like DS has.....and it is negative....I dont want to build myself up for the disappointment...

I am shocked that so many are telling me to test again, so it must be a possibility, which I thought wouldnt be.....But then I dont understand this pregnancy stuff anyway...lol

Hey SFM

You can be feeling sick/sore "this early" as it's all hormonal... as hormone levels rise, your body goes through changes. I had heartburn with Cobes from day dot, just about.. not because it was already squishing but it was hormonal.
Also, with Cobes, I didn't get a positive test until i was 6 weeks pregnant.. and that included FMU. :)

So you never know!

Seekrit...thanks for that... I have bad a sore tummy for a couple of weeks now, and feeling ill...wanting to eat foods I dont usually..... but I guess that I must just be 'sick' in some other way....

I guess I just feel out of place in those types of threads...everyone is so up on everyone elses progress, and I well....I'm not, and I truthfully dont tend to read other TTC diary...unless I talk to that person a lot on here....

You are meant to ovulate about 14 days before AF is due, this is how most cycles work- so about CD 11 for you.

As for the bleeding it could be implantation bleeding?? Not sure if its meant to be bright red, i had implantation bleeding last cycle(unfortunatley little bubba couldnt hold on strong enough and m/c at 5weeks) but i tested two days after i stopped bleeding and it was bfn. Tried again a couple of days later and it was :bfp:- but only faint. Maybe try again in a few days time!??!

DF brought home a 3 pack test...so I might... I actual went back to look at it and thought there was a faintest ever line, but it could just be that my eyes can see where the line is suppose to come up...IYKWIM...

I am guessing I'm not but will chat to the doctor tomorrow....

thats what i was like with my first test- i kept looking at it again and again, it was definately there but only right at the 10 minute mark. Maybe try an fmu tomorrow and see if that is any darker!
