Sorry just need a vent!

My DF and I have never used joint bank accounts before, but so I can have access to his RAAF wage as I am currently living off my FTB he organised for me to become a signitory on his account and i filled out all this paperwork so i can get my own defcredit card while hes away so DD and I can have some money.Ive been waiting for my card to arrive and since it hasnt I called them to ask about it.

They said oh yeh your accounts all set up but you dont get a card until theres at least 400 dollars in the account. I was like 'yeh theres thousands in the account because DF is in basic training so hasnt spent a cent.' and shes like 'yeh theres plenty in his account but you have a joint national access acount now and there has to be money in that before you can have a card. so if you have another bank account just transfer some money over and you'll get a card' Um the whole reason i need to have access to his account is because i have NO money! They specifically told us I would get my own card with access to DF's money! I cant talk to him to sort it out until Saturday and I dont get payed my FTB til Monday. Im not desperate or anything we have food etc but im just so irritated.I had to run around getting ID certified etc just so i could get a card and now its all stuffed up!

Im so upset,im so sick of getting stuffed around!

:hissy: ok vent over.

OMG, dont get me started on DefCredit. My Ex had a loan with them. The amount of times they sent him letters of "default" when he was AHEAD in repayments etc was beyond a joke, then because they sent these letters, he copped a $40 default "letter" fee, which took a month at a time to get them to rectify.

He was never so glad to give them the flick when he paid the loan out.

oh theyre truly rediculous.like when we were buying a new car DF tried them first for the loan and they said NO.so we went with another finance company and as soon as they saw the payments coming out of his account they called and said 'hey why dont you transfer your loan over to us now?' ppfftt vultures.

I know, creepy huh. Im so mad about this right now. They knew exactly what we needed the joint account for.If they couldnt do it how we wanted they should have been clear on that.

OMFG how ridiculous. How do they get by with that kind of policy.

Both me and DH have an ADCU account under our own names, plus a joint one. We don't have a card for it. This way he can or I can transfer $$ into that account without a fee. I do everything over the internet so no need for signatories. I can see the joint account balance from mine or his account and just transfer from the joint to mine.

Also when it comes to loans .. years ago we wanted a personal loan for a car, ADCU and every other bank wouldnt give us one except CBA. He earns enough yet prob cos I wasn't working they didn't want to risk it.
