Rah - Nice to see you. Hows the family?

Brooke 2 - How far along are you now?
It must be bliss having your girl sleeping through the night and fully TT'd.
My DD is pretty good with the toilet now but still not sleeping consistantly through the night.

MJ - I know how you feel about the lack of a full nights sleep. Admitedly DD has slept through the night more then 10 times but those times were when she was ill...go figure.

Georgie - When in November is the Faries concert?

Brooke - I know it's hard doing all the things you are, but it will be worth it all in the end.

Caz - :hugs: I know I'll be at work but call me any time you need to chat to someone, I will always fine time for you

SJE - Why do you need to rehouse your dog? Have you put a pster up at your local community board? I know we have one outside of one of our supermarkets.

:gloomy: Got some bad news yesterday..............my sister's FIL had a massive stroke yesterday and isn't expected to last another 24 hours. He had trouble breathing and was admitted to hospital the day before and it happened there while they were running tests. Even though he's my sister's FIL he is someone we saw regularly and he was always so happy. And its just devastating seeing the impact on the family with it happening so unexpectedly...........at least with Jarrod's Dad we were quite prepared for it, funeral arrangements etc. And its really sad for my sister's kids............at least mine were too young to know what was going on. :gloomy: So although Max had a fairly good night overnight, once I got up to do one feed I just couldn't go back to sleep thinking about Bob.

DB&O - Max went back to nasty green poo's yesterday so obviously the 'traces' of organic soy in his rice formula were enough to set him off  But luckily he's back to normal today so I may just try getting the Neocate formula into him tonight.

Caz - All the best for you guys today hon. Will be hard...............but definitely the best thing in the long run

SJE - Hope you can find someone soon..............have you put up notices on your local noticeboards maybe with a photo?

Brooke - Might have to get your cleaners details off you if she is interested in anymore work

Lou - I think its Nov 14, 15 and 16 at Norwood Town Hall again.

If anyone is bored and wants a laugh you have to check out http://www.yearbookyourself.com/

OMG PMSL..............its hilarious

Back now I have a breather.

Georgie - :hugs: So sorry to hear about your sisters FIL, I hope he does recover but I guess at the very least his family have time to be with him. :hugs:

Hope Max takes to the formula. What are you going to feed him if Soy is in so much

Busy day for me this morning but fairly chill this afternoon, saying that I have a little work from Wednesday to catch up on.
Thinking of hiring some crutches tomorrow, can't cope with all this painfull waddling and need something to give me a little extra support......trying to avoid the zimmer frame :p

B2 - I remember you too hun. How could I forget you? Aidan thought your lap was better than mine at the Raggs concert. Congrats on your pregnancy.

I'm really starting to freak out over Aidan's operation tomorrow. I know it's a routine op but it's not stopping me from beind totally scared. We have to be there at 7am, so everyone keep your that he's one of the first ones of the day. Not sure how I could keep him happy and entertained most of the day while he's starving hungry. But will SMS someone and let them know how it all went and they can post on here for me

Hi Caz; yes I remember Aidan really well even now, he definately left a lovely impression :D I hope all goes well with his operation today, sending lots of get well :goodvibes: his way.

Brooke 2 - How far along are you now?
It must be bliss having your girl sleeping through the night and fully TT'd.
My DD is pretty good with the toilet now but still not sleeping consistantly through the night.

LM; I'm now almost 27 weeks :smiliedance: it seems to be dragging by but I'm trying hard not to wish it away, it could very well be my last pregnancy, want to make the most of it. DD is very low maintenance & I don't know if I can be that lucky again :p
How are things going with your pregnancy, I see you are having trouble with your hip/s?

Got some bad news yesterday..............my sister's FIL had a massive stroke yesterday and isn't expected to last another 24 hours. He had trouble breathing and was admitted to hospital the day before and it happened there while they were running tests. Georgie; so sorry to hear about your sisters FIL :hugs:
I hope that Max's tummy continues to improve, must be really frustrating for you to have to exclude things from his diet especially as you haven't been able to see an allergist for him yet. Is it just soy that he is allergic to or is it dairy as well?

Ciao,
Brooke.

Lou - Thanks so much for the update on Aidan. You poor thing waddling about so much.........did you have the same when pregnant with DD?

Brooke2 - 50% of kids that are allergic to dairy are also allergic to soy...........so he would be both.

How's this..............just got a letter from the WCH saying Max is booked in to see an allergist there on Sept 17th, that's less than 2 weeks away.......wicked :smiliedance: Unbelievable that going private was going to take over 3 months and the public system only took about 1 month

Rah

Caz - Glad to here Aiden is going well after the op.

Georgie - :hugs: for you and your sisters FIL's family.

SJE - Will wakes up for a variety of reasons, he really loves company, he also dreams alot etc. If it is ear infections he is up every 40mins or so from pain, on very rare occasions it is for a drink or to go to the toilet.Abby wakes for a feed and cuddles.

Lou - We are all well thanks for asking. I am loving these sunny warmer days. It is nice to be able to get to the park, go for walks etc.

Londonmum
05-09-2008, 15:28
Brooke 2 - So your due beginning Dec?
Hope your fairing better through this one then I am :p
I've got a very unstable pelvis which means that when it shifts it causes my left hip to go into spasm and so I have problems with my mobility. Also got GD this time round which I never got with DD  Was trying to enjoy the pregnancy myself as this will be my last too but bubs is making it very hard to enjoy.

Georgie - Good to hear your getting in quicker with the WCH, heres hoping they can give you some good advice ect on the whole feeding issues.

Re joints, I had general joint cramps with DD but then as I have arthritis and hypermobile joints anyway I didn't really notice it till the end of the pregnancy when I wasn't allowed to take my meds anymore.
But all my muscles were stretched with DD and no one advised about toning exercises ect cause of the hypermobile joints and so what with the pregnancy hormones all my joints are loose as the muscles can't cope keeping them in place.

Yay Aidan :yelclap:

I was at Golden Grove yesterday and both Foodland and Woolworths there had the boxes of Huggies nappies for $27.99............so cheap! Not sure if that's at other stores too, haven't read my big pile of junk mail yet.

Its going to be a beautiful sunny 20 degrees tomorrow so we may possibly head into the Royal Show early with the 2 kiddies.............then return home in time to watch the Crows vs Collingwood game. They have the Fairies appearing live on stage each day at 11am which Gem will flip over.

Forgot to tell a funny story the other day.............when we had DH's family over recently, his Nan who is now 88 and starting to get a bit senile brought over an envelope of chocolates (freddo frogs, mini chocolate bars) for each of our kids............so yeah she wanted to feed this to Max  Anyway I just thanked her and changed the subject and just chucked the chocolates in a jar. One night this week after Jarrod got home from work he scoffed into one of the chocolate bars and then horrified comes in and asked me where I got the chocolates from saying they were disgusting...............so I told him his Nan brought them over. He then checked the expiry date on them and it was Use By 2005 :barf::laughing:

Georgie- Is Jarrod ok - no ill effects? (apart from utter disgust)
It's weird about the private/public health thing:confused: Obviously the private system isnt going very well atm. Looking at the back of food packets, soy is in alot of things. Apparently they use it to bulk things up to cut costs?

Lou - It's awful that you're so uncomfy. Thank goodness pregnancy goes for 9months and not any longer.

With the dog - I've put up notices at all the vets, on the internet and in the newspapers.
He's a lovely dog - loves ppl, puts up with cats/kids; a border collie/corgi cross.
Between the kids and DH's long hours, we really dont have the time to spend with him. That situation doesnt seem to be changing anytime soon :(

Aidan update - He's had tea, drunk loads and been up and walking around. Caz expects them to be able to go home tomorrow.

Georgie - Poor Jarrod, but then what do you expect from an 88 yr old confused lady.

Planning to take DD to see the Fairies at the Adelaide show too, she'll love it. Don;t think it's practical to take her to the show in November though given when Jnrs due.

SJE - Sorry to hear about the dog, I hope you find him a home soon. Would take him off your hands myself but right now I don't have the time for a dog either, not with Jnr due in 8 weeks.

OMG we had an absolute ball, so glad we went as I almost didn't worrying about the cost. They were charging $25 for car parking  But luckily Jarrod's work has an outlet along Leader St so we were able to use their car park, plus one of the guys that works there gave us his Show Passes to use as he wasn't going in until tonight..............so we didn't pay for parking or entry :yelclap: So we had a fantastic family day out in the sun, both kids were so well behaved and it really cost us bugger all..............just some food and a few Showbags

Now I've come home to watch the footy finals with a nice, cold beer whilst both kids are

SJE - Yeah he's alright...........just the chocolate tasted pretty foul! Yep............I'm destined for a life of reading ingredients now

Hi everyone

Sorry it's taken me 24 hours to let you all know that we are home safe and sound but have had a big 24 hours.

We got home at 9.30 yesterday morning, they were very happy with Aidan eating and drinking as much as he was. You wouldn't have thought that he'd just had an operation. He was and still is in pretty good spirits for a kid whose throat has just been operated on

Having a bit of trouble this morning getting him to have pain relief. It's definitely a battle of wills. About to go back to the chemist to see what else they have, because the one i'm trying to give him is just getting spat back at me

I'm off to the show today, so will be back tomorrow for personals

Hope you all have a great day

Hi all

Well we had a lovely fathers day too. We also went to the Adelaide show, we got there about 10:30am and went straight to the stage where the Fairies were going to perform so we could be right at the front.
DD was very good and patient whilst we waited for them to come out and her face was a picture when they came out. She looked up at me and with breathless excitment and wide eyes she said "Fairies" :D Brought tears to my eyes :valentine:
Such a shame I can't take her to their show in Novemeber.

We had a good look around, DD got to pet lots of animals and had a ride on the pirate boat and train.

I got the Fifi Flowertot bag and Dorothy bag, both good value. Was thinking about the Fairies one but once I looked at it, I didn't think it was worth it as DD already has wings and skirt. Actually i was convinced that bag came with the wand too but wasn't there when I looked

I did hire some crutches but in the end I left them in the car. I managed to get around the show from 10:30 till 15:30 when we finally left (sat in DD's buggy at one point whilst DH was taking her round the farm animals :o) , not sure how I managed it but I did though I think I shall suffer for it tomorrow. :(

Lou :shame: naughty girl - you so shouldn't be doing that! Look after yourself more girl! Glad you had a good time anyway

Caz I'm so glad to hear Aidan is recovering well from his Op. Hopefully that will be the end of his sicknesses

Gorgeous pic of Gemma Georgie  Bet she loved meeting the fairies! Well done on the free entry by the way. That's the main thing putting us off from going. I love the show, but the entry prices are crazy, especially when you consider with the theme parks in Qld, you pay entry but then all the rides are free...makes much more sense!

We had a nice afternoon yesterday, DH had to work in the morning (fathers day and all :(), but then we went for a drive with the kids in the afternoon and out for dinner last night.

Hope everyone has a great start to the week

Kimmy - I know, I know....I swear the only keeping me on my feet at the moment is pure blo*dy mindedness :D
Today I'm not too bad on my feet, I'm getting around as well as I was on Saturday so no damage done from Sunday

For me the only cost factor was the parking at $25. I'd have prefered to park in the MCP which is only $10 but DH wanted to park closer due to my mobility so as far as he was concerned it was a justifyable cost....bless him.
Entry I got at the post office which is a couple dollers cheaper so not too bad.

sshellzp - The Fairies play on the Coke a Cola stage not far from the big wheel. I suggest getting there early so you can get a good spot, else all the adults standing with their children may get in the way and spoil the view.

LM - Glad you had a great time at the show. That's great that you've been able to get around yesterday without too much discomfort but I agree with Kimmy, you need to take it easy hun

Georgie - What a gorgeous photo of Gemma and her favourite fairies :bee:

Kimmy - I managed to get a free ticket to the show on Sunday but that's because I helped The Guides out with parcel minding. Planning on going Friday afternoon and that's going cost me full price entry. I agree with you, it would be alright if the entry included the rides aswell. But I also see it was a once a year thing and don't mind paying the prices to go, I love the show :)

Brooke - How's the new job going hun?

Nan - Where are you? Hope everything is ok

Shell - When's Oad's court case?

I ended up taking Aidan to the doctors last night. He woke up from his nap with a really chesty cough, it was hurting him as he was crying everytime he coughed. Luckily there's nothing wrong, he thinks there's just an irritation there because they put a tube down his throat when having his operation. But he's been put on anti-biotics just to prevent a secondary infection because he is susceptible at the moment.

Not much on my plate today. Have to go and get a present for my MIL as it's her birthday tomorrow and Brian hasn't gone to get anything for her. Not sure what to get a woman who has everything

Hope you all have a great day and are able to get out and enjoy this sunshine :sunshine:

Hi

Lovin' these sunny days:sunshine:

Caz - for the woman who has everything - a gift voucher:thumbsup:
I guess you cant get Aiden to gargle saline either - hope it doesnt turn secondary.

Lou - You did well to get around the show like you did. A person can only take so much resting- cabin fever can set in after a while.

Shell - Hope the court case goes ok:yes:

Feeding DD now is like feeding a turtle- you never know when there's going to be a little bite:eek:
We will probably go to the show early on Saturday. It will be great to see DD1's reaction to things.

Lou- I agree with Kimmy you should be resting!!

Caz- The new job is going well. Hard work and very crazy busy atm but apart from that its going well.. Missing my AAMI friends A LOT but that is to be expected. I am glad Aidan is ok and it was nothing too serious.. poor little man!

Kimmy- Bummer about DH having to work on fathers day!

Well I got my results back from my allergist. My insulin levels were double what they should be so anyway they think this could be the cause of a lot of my reactions. Making me allergic to a random array of things.. He has given me a diet plan to follow and recommends something similar to the csiro total well being diet... can only try I guess...

Well Im off to write my shopping list for this new "life style diet" haha

Thanks for the concern ladies :hugs:
I know I should try to take it easy but I don't want to restrict my life to home and local surroundings, that would just drive me insane.
I guess I'm just really stubborn and thats not going to change anytime soon

Brooke - Glad to hear work is going well even if you are busy and missing your old friends. Hows PP?

Re the insulin thing, are you being refered to an endocrinologist? If not then maybe get your Dr to refer you on or maybe see Dr Tonbridge (the specialist Nan and I saw) as he seems to know quite a bit about hormones, endocrinology and diets.

Caz - Good to hear theres nothing seriously wrong with Aidan, hope he's feeling better soon.
I think DD and I have come down with something as I'm all croaky with sore throat and she sounds all phlemy.

So what did yu end up getting for the MIL?

Feeling really tired today, think i'll have a shower and early to bed esp as work tomorrow.

ok so adam didnt come friday like planned, didnt come sat and go to the show like planned then i dropped his stuff off to him because i wanted it gone. asked him if he wanted me to wait around so he can see the kids he said no. msgs were being sent all night him saying he is picking up the kids me telling him he isnt because if he cant come see them when he was supposed to why does he deserve them on sunday. called him a sad excuse for a father. i was at a friends house warming sat night and had his step sister ring me and tell me they are picking them up. after a bit of an argument i told her i was going because i was at a party and im not changing my mind. i then got a msg from her saying that if i want to play games she can play games too, and she was sure child welfare would love to hear i was at a party with both kids and drunken morons.

i had to laugh because there were three people at that house who didnt have a child or one on the way, one was adams cousin, adams best friend and a girl i went to school with who has always helped me with bella at school.

after that his gf rang me. she told me she wouldnt be around if adam could have bella i was still saying no and hung up. one of my friends then took my phone and turned it off, they wouldnt give it back till i left lol.

adam turned up on sunday morning and i let him in hoping to crawl back in to bed but bella woke up so up i got. he wanted to take her to his nans but i was still saying no. after a while he said he doesnt want bella to think she lost her dad and that he can see in her eyes she is confused. he made it sound like he was taking her for her sake and to help me a bit. after a bit of more emotionall abuse i gave in and he was to bring her back last night. i also said he was to call every night and his gf was to stay somewhere else.

he didnt call monday night and i found out she was there so i ended up there with the police to get bella but i then found out because she looked safe and adam refused to let her go there was nothing i could do without a court order. i found out that untill there is a court order he doesnt have to bring bella back. she is not leaving me now i know that. when i was told on the phone i was in tears so scared adam wouldnt bring her back.

so i went to his mums to pick bella up because he was bringing his gf for tea even after his mum had said no and i didnt want her knowing where i live. i stayed for a bit to show her she isnt going to get rid of me, they are my family. we were sitting outside and she started to talk about bella and i found out that yesterday while adam was at work she had bella. i dont know who i was more angry at but i let them both have it and then told bella we were leaving. his gf asked mil for a hug from bella i said no and pulled bella away. she can stay the hell away from my kids. she is told by a doctor to not be on her own becasue they are worried she will hurt herself so what does adam do leave her with our 2 yr old daughter.

anyway.

glad those who have been to the show enjoyed it. im going friday with a friend. caz msg me wen you get there if you want.

brooke- well atleast your starting to get to the bottom of it.

caz - glad aidan is better. did they let you stay with him untill he was out? get a photo frame with what aidan calls her and put a pic of him in it. oh actually maybe one with mikayla aswell lol.

lou - i only had a problem for a short time and that killed me lol well done but i know what you mean that you have to get out.

hope i havnt missed anyone

Hey girls.
Just a quick one from me. Thank you those that asked about me. Am feeling a little depressed that I don't seem to be able to find the time to get on here much lately. Feel like my head is spinning lately. I actually think its my hormones. Sorry if TMI but because I'm still BFing AF hasn't returned yet but I feel like its been trying to for the last 4 months if that makes sense. Just hasn't managed to make it! Thank God. Only thing is I'm feeling up and down atm. Every day is different and today is a down day. Definitely going back to my doctor as soon as it comes back to get my hormone cream.

Georgie - The public system has never let me down. Precisely why we don't have hospital cover, just extras.

Renee - Why when you post am I never surprised? I can't even find a bad enough word in my vocabulary to call Adam at the moment!! Once a loser always a loser hun. You go get that court order ASAP. He's a jack a$$. There's a word!!

Brooke - Good thing I gave you the doctor's info. Only last time I was there he was explaining to me how hormones work to effect insulin levels. Make the call!!!

Caz - Glad Aidan is doing ok.

Sorry for no more personals. Feeling a bit flat and not really up to it today. Sorry! I have to go do the grocery shopping with both kids now, too. Woohoo!! Are ya feelin' the sarcasm?!!! :o

Both kids are snotty and unwell, Gemma has refused most of her food and sleeps today and yesterday..............throw horror nights with Max in and I'm doing real well  I haven't been able to get 1 thing done around the house. I'm ready to go back to work but weaning Max continues to seem impossible, I've started some solids and his sleep is getting even worse  So I just don't even know what I'm doing anymore.

I find it hard keeping up with my active demanding toddler.. I cant imagine finding the energy for both! They are all very lucky to have you as their mummas! :flowerz:

Well talking about exhaustion off for an early night for me.. I am so exhausted from working the 5days I can hardly move...

Nan and Georgie I feel for you both. The good days are awesome, but the bad days are shocking.

Georgie how bizarre that Max is sleeping less now that he's on solids.... he hasn't had any reactions to it has he? Hope you can get him on that formula asap to see if it makes a difference. Are your work being patient about your returning to work?

Nan I hear you on the hormones - mine have been going nuts - I said to DH the other day sometimes I feel like I'm still pregnant  Not pretty sight when I'm not in a good mood - don't mess with me :o Hope you're having a better one today.

Brooke it's a bummer you have to have a regulated diet, but I'm glad they have finally worked out what may be causing it! Hope the diet makes a big change, and I'm sure you'll feel all the more healthy for it  Good to hear your job and course are going well. LMAO on the promoting 2 kids - On a good day I'd sing it's praises, but as I said before, the bad days can be incredibly tough. I personally don't think any age gap is 'perfect', you just make your choices work  Can you tell this is me on a good day?? lol

Renee...he's SCUM. Period. I hope you can rid him emotionally from your existence asap.

Lou have fun at Harbour Town today... I've got S&Y sorry - but enjoy! Love that place :)

Mia fed at 8pm last night and went through till 7am this morning  Needless to say my breasts were exploding when she finally woke! She was all smiles when she did get up to as if to say - man that was a good sleep lol. She's such an awesome night sleeper now..

have a great day everyone!

Lots of :hugs: to Nan and Georgie. We are all here if/when you want to talk about things. Sending more :hugs: to you both

Brooke - Good luck with all the new lifestyle diet hun and hopefully that's the last of your problems :fingerscrossed:

Kimmy - YAY for Mia being a great night sleeper, that must make you feel a bit more human. Sleep deprivation sucks

LM - Enjoy Harbour Town today

Renee - I also agree with what the girls have said. He is scum who can not be trusted. You need to stop running to him and his family because they are only looking out what's best for themselves and not you or your children. As hard as it is, you really need show Adam and the rest of his family you can do it without their help. Show Bella that girls don't need guys around to be happy. We can be happy and successful without males being around. We are all here if you need us hun, don't rely on Adam because he has shown you time and time again that he can't be trusted

Having a quiet day at home. Will go do the grocery shopping once Brian gets out of bed (he's on afternoon shift at the moment) and that'll be the excitement of my day. I thought Aidan was ready to leave the hosue but yesterday when I went to my mum's place, he was an absolute nightmare. The only time I had time for myself, was when he was in bed. So a couple of more days at home should hopefully make him feel better,

Hope everyone has a great day, whatever your plans may be :flowerz:

Haha Brooke! I agree with Kim. The good days are awesome......just a pity you can't have them every day.

Feeling better today - like I said, some days are up and some are down. Mostly up, which is good.

We decided not to go to the show today coz Shane couldn't get off work as early as he thought, so we're going Saturday now. We just didn't want to spend nearly $50 just getting in the gates only to have to leave after a couple of hours. Eden is SO looking forward to it. She talks about it every day. Luckily she has no concept of time yet coz I told her 2 days to go on Tuesday and 2 days to go today too!! :o

Decided to go shopping with Lou, coz I wanted to get a head start on some birthday pressies sor some certain someones coming up soon. :p

Kimmy - What an awesome sleep!! :smiliedance: NICE! I'm never full these days but I remember it well. Ouch!

Caz - Probably a good idea to stay home.....hope it doesn't drive you up the wall too much! :hugs: I'm not looking forward to Caleb's op at all.

Lou - I went to see Dr T 6 weeks post and things were ok then. I think its just the weening process which is a long period for me, coz it basically starts as soon as solids are introduced and doesn't end until the final BF. With Eden that was 9 months! AF returned as soon as I went down to 2 feeds a day. Caleb is slowing down so I'm thinking it could be soon. NOOOOOOO! :hissy:

Anyway, I'm off to get tea ready. Have a nice night peoples!!!

P.S. Rah - Forgot to say I got my watch on Monday and I LOVE it!

Shell - Hope the court case went ok today:fingerscrossed:

Nan - Maybe that's what's happening here too- hormones all over the place. Unfortunately insult to injury - someone threw out the naprogesic because it was one month expired and someone else forgot to get more:crying:
I've heard vitex can even things out a bit and it's something the natropath recommended for me so it may be something I'll try.
You did know about the cheaper show tickets at the postoffice?

Kimmy - Wow enjoy the sleep you lucky thing:yes:
What's your secret?

Georgie - Perhaps the solids may be upsetting Max' stomach?. Annelise will be screaming at 5 am if she has too much pumpkin or sweet potato. She just has small amounts of everything now.

Brooke - What sort of things do you have to eat? Hope it allows for a few indulgences.

Renee - Personally I would let him have the kids at all. He's broken the trust:thumbsdown:

Hope everyone has something to look forward to.
Just the show and hopefully some family time for us. Next week end is the big one for us:valentine:

Kimmy - Yay for Mia sleeping through the night

Caz - Hope Aidan is feeling better tomorrow, have fun at the Show and give Renee, Bella and Charlie a big hug from us.

Shell - how did the court case go?

Well as Nan said we went to Harbour Town, was funny cause we were just finishing lunch when all the power went. We had a little wonder but most of the shops closed up while the power wasn out. Anyway 2/3's of the people left and suddenly the power came back on which ment we practically had the place to ourselves
Got 2 of my neices their x-mas gifts, got 1 neice to go in NZ and 1 in UK (hers I can get online) and got a certain little man his b-day pressie. So I think I'm covered for gifts till the new year bar a couple things I'll get for DD nearer to x-mas.

Then went to Ikea to get a bookcase I could put into Jnrs wardrobe with some linin style boxes to put on shelves that I can use to put Jnrs clothes in. Think I pushed myself too hard cause I was in agony half way round Ikea, but after a brief sit down I managed to finish with the help of a couple nice members of staff.

Then I went to Flinders to visit a friend who had her baby on Tuesday, got to have a cuddle which was nice esp as she fell asleep in my arms :D By time we left it was after 6pm so grabbed Mc D's on the way home (wouldn't normally do that) so I could make sure DD had something to eat before bed. Then it was bath her and put her to bed and finally I could sit down (unloaded car when she was in bath).
I knackered and in pain and got work tomorrow, but when nI looked Wednesday it wasn't going to be busy ie: not fully booked, so I should be able to take it fairly easy.

Well done on the head start for the b'day and christmas pressies Lou and Nan  The most I've achieved in that department is toys for the kids lol. Got heaps to do but will leave it closer to Xmas now I think.

Nan can't wait to see the watch! Well done on the splurge  Bummer about AF returning - guess it has to happen eventually just a shame it's been a drawn out process with the weaning. Not looking forward to that! But it's all worth it :)

SJE no secret here... she made this routine herself! Wish I could take the credit, but I just went with the flow and fed on demand, and she gradually stretched the feeds out longer and longer. She does still feed pretty regularly during the day though.

Caz it sounds like Aidan's on the mend. Hard to keep kids inside for so long, but he needs it by the soounds of things. I'm sure he'll be full of energy in no time!

Another 11 hour night here for DD :smiliedance: It's been 3 in a row now which is just awesome - hoping she makes this her new routine.
Off to lunch with mum and sister at the shops today then home to cook for friends for dinner tonight...

DH and I decided to splurge and head to the show tomorrow. We'd decided not to because we have a big few months coming up with Weddings, birthdays, christenings etc, but we would love to take DS to see it and enjoy a family day out. Looking forward to it.

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Lou - Well done on being so organised :yelclap: I'm the buy-at-the-last-minute type of person. Unless it's for xmas stuff for the kids and I put them on lay-by at the toy sales

Hope you're not in too much pain today

Nan - Well done for getting out the house hun. I know when I feel down that's one of the hardest things to do, so well done

Kimmy - Well done to DD again, what a great sleeper you have there

Aidan was ok yesterday, had his moments but don't all kids. Will be interesting what he's going to be like today. Have to take DSD into the festival theatre for a performance rehearsal and have to hang around town for a few hours. He'll either sleep, or drive me nuts by wanting to get out the pram

DSD and I are heading to the show tomorrow now instead of tonight, I was a bit like Nan, didn't want to spend all that money on entry fee only to be there for a few hours. So I might see some of you there :)

Enjoy your weekend everyone :sunshine:

SJE - Vitex sounds like a good idea. Thanks. What 'big one' are you talking about? Big anniversary?

Caz - Hehe! Don't worry I'm no big hero. I was actually feeling fine yesterday, so not too hard to get out and about. If I'd been feeling yuck, I'd probably have stayed in. Good thing I'm about 80% up and 20% down atm.

Kimmy - YAY!!!!! How cool. Funny how the more sleep you get the more you want hey?

Lou - SLOW DOWN!!!!! You don't want any extra stress.....labour is hard enough! :p

Shell - How'd it go yesterday?

Caleb must have been in so much pain with his tooth last night (#4 is on its way out!) as I gave him some neurofen and bonjella before bed at 7pm only to have him wake about 4-5 times before 10pm in distress. Poor little thing. Don't remember Eden having this much trouble but I was better at remembering to up her vitamins too. Naughty me. So, I gave him some Panadol as well and some more gel and cuddled him to sleep. He drifted off and thankfully didn't stir until 7 this morning.

Off to the show tomorrow morning....have a great weekend all.

Kimmy - Well done on getting 11 hrs sleep, I dream of those days. Been about 3 yrs since I had that amount of sleep in one go.

Kimmy and Caz - I'm normally a last minute shopper too but with Jnr due very soon I know I probably wont have the time or energy to go shopping with a newborn. so if I have all the pressies brought pre birth then all that remains is for them to be wrapped +/- posted.

Nan - Thanks for the loan of the maternity tops, will stop all the comments from work staff about me popping out and them needing to pick me up a bigger top :o
And thanks again (in advance) for getting my Bratwurst for me.

To those of you going to the show tomorrow.....have a great time I know we did.

My pram has arrived at the shop :smiliedance: early but thats good, we'll go pick it up tomorrow.

Ear plugs in tonight, need  badly and as for my slowing down......thats just not likley to happen till Jnr is here and even then as soon as I'm in a routine I'll be up and out again :D

13-09-2008, 20:13
Lou - No worries. I just realized I also have 3 more maternity shirts if you want them for work. They are quite comfy. I needed them when I was teaching. I hardly wore them with Caleb. I have black, white and beige. Let me know if you want them.

We had a lovely time (albeit a bit tiring between feeding & changing both kids!) and are SO tired now! Eden got to see The Fairies. She wasn't hugely interested, but enjoyed them all the same. I think her favourite thing was putting the balls in the clowns mouths down side show alley!! lol  We've already decided we won't be going to The Show next year. I couldn't believe they charged $5 for a kids carousel ride!! Also can't believe how quickly we parted with almost $200 dollars. Amazing! Plus, I really love going on rides and this was the first time I didn't go on a single one coz Shane hates them. So I felt a bit ripped off there. We're thinking we might do a family holiday somewhere like KI instead & maybe do The Show when Eden is at school and I can go on rides with her!! lol

Great idea nan - family trip would be much more worthwhile  By the way how's Caleb now with his teeth? Must have been in pain the other night poor thing!

We too had a great time there but were horrified at the cost of everything. The $5 carousel rides were such a rip off. Having said that, Alex loved them and wanted 2 turns  Only prob was getting him off them!
And when did the character showbags start costing $18.50?? That's appalling! Once again we caved and bought him one, but we didn't even bother getting DD one just for the sake of it

We got DS the Sesame Street one (being that he's so addicted to Elmo! but the actual Elmo one was too girly and old for him..) and he LOVES it! I gotta say it seemed like one of the best value ones there, and he loves the Elmo slippers, puzzle and ball that came in it. So for me it was $$ well spent, but I'll definitely think twice before going again till the kids can fully enjoy it... We spent the whole day there and DD was a little  She fed/slept and smiled all day. We stayed out till just before dinner time, so then we headed down to the Bay for a walk and then dinner at a beautiful Cafe on Jetty road. Never been there before but we'll be going back for sure when we are child free to really enjoy it  I had the best Gnocchi ever!

Hope everyone's having a great weekend and enjoying the sunshine - it was almost hot at the show yesterday!

Nan

Paige spent the weekend at mums.. she took her to the circus which paige LOVED and hasnt stopped talking about since! Then Scott took her down to St Kilda today while we had the kids clothing party.... and now she seems to got her broncitis (sp) back poor princess so she is back on her anti biotics!

Hey guys. I have been mia for a few days as my computer had heaps of viruses and I couldnt get online.
We got the court right on time and met with Oads lawyer and even thought court had already started we went into a room to talk as he still hadnt really talked to us and been put up to speed with our situation. Anyway, Oad was only being charged with 3 driving with no liscence charges and he has an upcoming court date for a drink driving charge.
The lawyer told us that he would proberably be getting a few months jail time. I was pretty upset and ****ed off to hear this(at the time we all thought he was being charged with the drink driving charge too)
We got back in and realised that the drink driving charge was for another time and that he proberably wouldnt be getting time so I felt a bit better.
The good news is that we have an awesome lawyer and Oad only got a $600 fine. Hopefully because he hasnt had a suspended jail sentence before he will get one of those and not an actual sentence on the next court appearance :fingerscrossed:
Hope that all made sence...

My computer situation is fixed now, we went and bought a laptop.

Nan - Hope you are feeling better :hugs:

Love Shell.

Hi Guys

Sorry I didn't make it along this morning...........after our GP appointment I ended up taking Max into the WCH for a chest x-ray. He's got bronchiolitis and is sounding very crusty today..............I think he's OK as the Doc there had a look at his films before letting us go home but just waiting on my GP to phone through his report soon. Gem's still a bit crusty and I'm a bit throaty & rundown too...........crazy weather we're having at the moment probably doesn't help. Our front lawn was covered in hailstones this morning.........I took some piccy's of it :rain:

Anyway, my GP said the reason that Max may not be tolerating solids/formula could be due to the cold/virus that he's picked up.............apparently when they get an infection it can affect their whole body and give them diarrhorea & vomiting too, plus having a full tummy is really uncomfortable with bronchiolitis as it makes it harder on their diaphragm. Thank goodness we have the hospital appointment on Wednesday who'll be able to guide me on what to do from here.

Brooke - I'm guessing you made that decision I was reading about on FB. Wish you guys all the best for the future. :hugs: I hope PP is feeling better soon. CP is awful for kids. You can always drop in at my place when you pick her up!! heehee Just let me know and I'll put the kettle on! Oh, I have an insurance question too. If the LCD display on my oven broke as a result of a lightening storm, can I go to my insurer about it or will the excess not make it worth my while? TIA.

Rah - Thanks. They are growing up aren't they? Caleb looks like going down to 2 feeds per day pretty soon coz he's not drinking a lot at lunch time. Having said that, today he drank heaps, but I think its because he was tired and just wanted to comfort suck for longer.

:flowerz: CONGRATULATIONS on your 10th ANNIVERSARY SJE!! :yelclap: :flowerz:

Freaky- I just read your post Nan and scott had just finished telling me about his parents house got hit by lightening as well the other night and now their tvs, computer and a few other things are fried. YES call your insurance company and lodge a claim, you can always withdraw it if it is under your excess.

Well PP seems to be OK so far with her chicken pox.. although its still early days yet! We didnt get pp vax against it because at the time when it was due the pead. at the WCH told us not too as that was around the time she was in WCH with her kidney problems and was on that anti biotic for 7mths!

Think tonight is going to be take out night tonight.. just sooo not in the mood for cooking or doing anything really! Lou - It was good thanks. Had a nice, young, hip registrar but then also got to have a great chat with the head honcho consultant there. They did the skin prick test and that came up all OK.......beauty as I think that's the anaphylactic part so phew. But we are going back on Friday to do a patch test which takes all weekend to do, for some blood tests and I also have to give another stool sample from him. So at this stage it could be a number of things causing his bad belly............it could be a breasmilk colitis or a few other possibilities and I may eventually need to strictly cut out all soy from my diet. He told me I can add some Golden Syrup to the Neocate formula for Max to help him drink it as apparently it tastes really bad!

Can't even get Max on any anti-biotics at the mo (unless he gets really bad) as his belly isn't in a good way and these would only make it worse.............so :fingerscrossed: he gets rid of this bronchiolitis real soon.

Well I'm knackered so its  time for me...........nighty night x

After getting my head around not being able to go to Melbourne to see my sister on the October long weekend (I've done it the last couple of years and would love for it to become an annual thing) Brian told me on Tuesday that he's done some sums, rearranged a few things and that Aidan and I can go and spend quality time with her :smiliedance: I am sooooo happy, and the best bit is, Brian is taking that week off work so we can spend a bit more time over there. Well I saw my OB yesterday and at first she measured me at 35 weeks....then rechecked and pushed my pelvic bone a bit harder (boy does that hurt) and came back with a measurment of 33 weeks which is good cause I was 32 +5 yesterday. Big improvement on when she measured me 2 weeks ago, so now I only have to check my blood sugars random once a day rather then 4 times a day :smiliedance:
Still not sure if I'm having another scan at 36 weeks, she will let me know at next visit. But she has said that with the GD I stand a better chance of being induced a little early (as I wanted) if I don't go into labour before then.

Hi everyone.
Lou - That's good that you have less finger pricks to do. Bub seems to be a healthy size.

Brooke - Thanks for that. I'm ringing my insurers this afternoon now!!

Hugs for Max & PP. :hugs:

Caz - Yay for Brian!! That will be so nice for you guys. Has he come around on the other big decision yet? ;)

Georgie - That is so dodgy that Neocate tastes that bad!

Hope everyone is enjoying their day. We just went Playgroup to clean out the toy cupboard!! I think its because my bestie (who runs it with me) was bored from her baby not arriving yet & feeling the need to nest!!! Bugger of a job, but felt good to have it all sorted. Of course, with kids there it took 10x longer than it should have! Now I'm about to clean up my kitchen and go watch some 'Friends' DVDs while the kids are . Enjoy the sunshine everyone.

Nan - Just thought I'd let you know that I wore that pink wrap around blouse today for work, got lots of compliments on it. Saying that I also got more comments from patients about how I must not have much longer to go before bubs comes.....and then  faces when I told them 7 more weeks
