at what point (as in age wise) did u have ur todler stop daynaps. as in no amount of resettling or crying they would not sleep during the day.. i hope that makes sence.

my 19month old still happily has a nap after 10mins of refusing lol just wondering when they dont need a day nap anymore??? i realise every child is different but wondering if there is an actual round about figure. 2, 2.5, 3years ect??? i still clearly see he is tired so thats why i put him to bed:yes:

O and J stopped having day naps at about 2 and a half.

But there are still days now when I'll make them go and have a lie down coz they'll be totally off the wall and fighting with each other.

Like today.... they haven't slept the last 2 weeks, but had an hour nap today.

I just play it by ear most days.

Hi, I have 3 children (5 year old, nearely 4 year old and 17 month old). My 17 month old can do 2 hours although he doesn't get the luxury with school and kinder runs these days.

I would say that majority tend to give it up around 3. Some before and some even have a nap until 4 but that is rare. A good indication is that if they have a nap during the day and will not go down until late, then they are probably heading toward giving it up. You can always get them to have a short nap earlier in the day so that they are tired by bed time. Otherwise, keep them up, feed them dinner early and put them down early. If they are too tired then they will not eat dinner so you need to feed them early if you are going to surpass the day time nap. :)

She's 3 in July and stopped her 2-hour daily nap within the past month.

HOWEVER this means she usually conks out earlier than usual... which is good. It just means my day ends earlier, rather than getting a break half way through.

I actually kinda prefer it this way...lol.

hah! Yes, tell me about breaks. The only break I get is on a Friday when one is at school, one is at kinder and the other is asleep and then I get about 2 hours to run around like a chook without a head :dizzy: to get things done. hehe. That's life but as a friend once said to me...."enjoy life while it is full because one day they will be gone and you will wish they were still filling your days."
