New to TTC.. cramping & faint line HELP!!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to ttc.. i'm also wondering if i have early AF pains?

Since coming off the pill i've had one AF, and that cycle i was getting cramping on and off for the whole week before.

This cycle was the first time i've ever experienced ovulation pain. I had it for the 2 days after the calendar says was my ovulation day. I'm now 11 DPO and the last couple of days i've had very faint cramps, which feel like AF pains, but not as bad or as frequent as last cycle. I've also felt quite tired and queezy the past couple of days, but not sure if this is just in my imagination, or i'm getting sick.. I don't have any breast tenderness tho.

I took an early prediction test yesterday although i'm not due for AF for 3 more days. . I thought it showed negative (altho it was at 5.30am so could have been my eyes!!) but i've just had another look at the test and noticed there's a very faint line in the positive window, very light but i can definately see it. Could this be an evaporation line? Although from what i read they're supposed to be colourless.. and this is definately coloured. It's the assurance + brand.. Any ideas?!

Hi Polly - evap lines can be quite dark - how long was it after testing that you saw the line. If it's not there within about 10 minutes of doing the test it is probably an evap line....don't rule yourself out though for the month as you say af isn't due yet. :fingerscrossed:

Our bodies aren't nice to us in that a lot of af signs are also very similar to early preg signs. Let me know how you get on!

Hi,

It's hard to know if its a positive since it was outside of the timeframes the manufacturers specify! Sounds like all your symptoms marry up for a positive tho!

I would test again tomorrow with FMU, as they say the HCG levels double every 48 hours in early pregnancy so it should be darker if its a BFP.

I did 2 tests yesterday afternoon & 2 more this morning.. all BFPs!!!!! :smiliedance: Booked in with the gp on Monday!
