Hi there everyone,

I am a mother of 3 aged, 4, 3, and 1 and have recently found out I am expecting twins!!! Can already see your reaction!!:)

I am 4 months pregnant now and I guess I am really trying to find other expecting mothers of twins or mothers who have already got twins.

I have been told that I am expecting identical twins(dont know the sex yet - hoping to find out soon at my 18 week ultrasound) as they both are sharing the one outer membrane, have their own inner membrane but only share the one placenta. I am due on the 6th October but have been told that this is highly unlikely due to there only being the one placenta. They told me I should expect to have them enter in to this beautiful world around about the end of August/early September.

Are there any mums or mums to be out there that can offer their own experiences and advice? I have so many questions and so mcuh to learn so if you can help - please send me a thread.

Hope to hear from someone real soon!

To all of the mums out there expecting - CONGRATULATIONS!!!:smiliedance:

Thanks - It was a real big shock seeming that we have already 3 - going to be really busy with 5 kids under 5!!!! It is really exciting but I am as nervous as anything!! Hoping everything will be ok. I am really struggling with the idea of carrying two. I love being pregnant but wondering how on earth they are going to fit! My husband keeps on joking with me saying that I will need my nanna's walking frame!!!! He could be right!

Thanks very much - I am hoping all runs smoothly! It is very scary but at the same time exciting - having two babies inside of you is such a different experience then just carrying one!!!!

You amazing woman! 5 under 5:eek: , I have one little girl who is only 7 weeks and already realise that this is the most omportant job I will ever have, but to do it 5 fold - WOW
I hope you have the time to visit regularly - all mums should have some 'me time' and this place can be addictive :ecomcity:

Cheers, Skye

I know ! My first reaction was to cry in the ultrasound room - my husbands reaction was to laugh and think he was awesome. It is going to be hard work but very rewarding too. I would never change how I have done things - it has made me the person I am today. Having them so close was our choice and a good one. We did not expect to have twins - you just dont - but double the blessing!!!!

Hope your little bundle of joy is going well - treasure every moment - it goes by sooo soo quickly!

After having three already, I actually found my twins were easy as babies.

Hello there! Congratulations on your pregnancy! You will be busy. I just had twin boys. They are 5 weeks old. I also have a 21 month old boy, so I kind of know how you feel - minus 3! My boys are not identical but if you have any questions I would do my best ot answer them for you.
You're right, being pregnant with twins is a really different experience. I only made it to 36 weeks before my bg bruisers decided it was time to join the world. They were 6lb12oz and 7lb2oz and they were 4 weeks early! If I had gone any further I think I would have had to be moved around by a crane! I was booked in for a Caesar the following week but went into natural labour.
Having twins is very different to just having one. They play tag teams against us. One will have a bad day and the other will sleep while the next day the other will play up and the first one sleeps. Feeding is a challenge too. I am breast feeding during the day and bottle feeding at night so that Daddy can help!
If there is anything I can tell you that you don't already know please let me know. Good luck.
Brooke.

Hi Jayneo, I am preggo with twins too. I am having B/G twins and we have approx. 81 days (when you have a baby gut as big as mine you tend to count) to go before I get inducted for my vaginal birth. :smiliedance:

If you want to just PM me and we can have a chat if you want of course ;)
