My DS is still on mashed veges and ground up meat - as he still has a thing about lumps. He eats well I suppose as he loves his mixed veges with meat and chopped pasta or quinoa every night, but I worry its a bit boring.... he has organic veges and nothing with additives so I feel a bit limited at times - and I don't seem to be very imaginative!!!

He has the same few things every day. A sandwich for lunch with cheese and fine tomato, or jam, and yogurt or mashed banana. And I try scrambled egg with toast very few days, which he will eat a bit of. And he doesn't mind pancakes.

The 'healthy' recipe books I have have things like pieces of things like broccoli, snow peas, apples, etc which he just won't eat yet.

Anyone got any ideas to make meals a bit more interesting??????

My DS (now 15 months) took ages to like eating solids, and whilst he does eat now he seems to gobble some things up and have a 'take it or leave it' attitude with other things.

One dish that he seems to like the best and can happily eat a whole bowl full of (small bowl however), is cauliflower cheese from a baby cook book that I have by Annabel Karmel. Basically it's steamed cauliflower (or I even sometimes add broccoli and zucchini), mixed with a white cheese sauce (flour, butter, milk & grated cheese made up in the usual way you'd make a cheese sauce).

Anyway, there's more recipes in the book that he likes, but that is one of his favourites and is really yummy.

He might eat lasagne. My 10 month old loves lasagne (and my 2.5 year old used to until he decided to stop eating dinner at 18 months).
