Hi there Marcia!
I don't actually have kids yet... I am having my first next week :goodvibes: (due for induction post-dates on 26/5/08)....but I would love to be a part of your coffee group once I am back home and things are a little more settled. I live in Georges Hall, too.
I am new to this forum, so I am not sure if you can PM (personal message) me your details?
Hopefully will speak to you soon... and maybe there are even a few others lurking around who might like to be involved???

Hi I'm a local too and would love to be a part of a mothers group, my daughter is 3.5 months old, so would be nice to do coffee, it's a pity we lack a great cafe in the area, but there is always the Handle Bar Tavern at the Velodrome which does coffee, cake and has a play gym outside though usually not open until lunch time.

yeah i know iluvemeboys, she is just down the road from me but i hear she is quite busy these days.
ahh well, sounds like you are right, we will have to start our own group
Are you local as well KaM??
Maybe we could start our own group....and perhaps somewhere along the way we will catch up with the other Georges Hallers / Yagoona-ers in our travels?
What do you think? What days are best for you guys?
I live in Greenacre so not to far . .
Would love to start a group . . I don't even mind meeting at my place every few weeks either . .
Tuesday/Thursday is Matilda's daycare days . . and monday is usually playgroup .. but I don't mind missing it .. hehe . . wed/fri are usually good days . .

most days are good for me. i have 2 kids, a 2.5 yr old and a 14 month old. the older one, my DS goes to daycare on mondays and tuesdays and its just me and my youngest child, my DD at home on those days.
Are wednesdays okay for everyone then?
I am easy with the day ...at the moment it is only Friday that is a no-go for me. But wednesday seems to be the day that suits best?
Where should we meet? (Thanks KaM for the offer of your place for meeting up, too :)). Maybe we should meet somewhere out and about to begin with? Actually, how does the handle Bar Tavern sound?? It was suggested earlier in the thread. WOuld that suit everyone?
I have a 3 month old. I hope that is okay, I know your little ones are older....
If you guys want to organise more details, feel free to PM me, too.
Look forward to hearing from you!:D
sorry...pinkgingham.. I just realised that Mon/Tues might be better days for you?? That depends on whether you want to bring DS along, of course ;)

it depends on if the handle bar is kid friendly. i have never been there before. its just down the road from me though, i know where it is. my 1 yr old is just as active as my 2.5 year old.
but i may be able to have him babysat anyways.
I need somewhere contained . . lol . . or has entertainment. . Matilda wont sit still at all . .
It has a kids play gym thing in the outdoor area. that is the reason it was suggested in the first place. Would that be okay? It has a see-through fence around it from memory.
No need to get DS babysat, PG.... the more the merrier. Unless you want to, of course ;).
Oh fenced in is even better!! I would definitely be in for that . . transport should be easy as well!

oh sorry, i didnt read the entire thread :o
sounds fabulous!
i'll bring both kiddies then
so then this will be next wednesday then?
Sounds like a good idea to me !!
I do apologise for mine and PG's toddlers .. they are loud!!
Oh fenced in is even better!! I would definitely be in for that . .
That made me laugh!!
And no need to apologise about toddlers being noisy...it is expected!!
Next wednesday sounds fine to me. I think they open at an early lunch time. What time suits? How does 11.30 / 12 sound? Or open to other suggestions.

i know where it is, so i'm good. i've drive past it many times around the roundabout in front of the entrance but never actually went in there. i only live just down the road just off the highway near the BP and my aunty lives on a street just on the opposite side of the hwy so i drive past there alot when i go that way to go to her house as its the back way when coming from bass hill plaza. and her and my brother and ex used to drink in there alot but i have never been in there lol.

I'm positive that I can escape from the office for a couple of hours at that time....after all, isn't that why mobile phones were invented? so work can get a hold of me when I don't want them to

i may or may not be able to make it this week.
my car is farked, long story and just got home not long ago. needs to be fixed this week. if it doesnt get fixed in time, i can probably catch a bus. but just depends on how much money i will be left with after i have the car fixed.
will let you know.
I was going to ask why you were up so late / early ?!
Stoopid cars!! If I had my car on wednesday, I could give you a lift...but I won't have it...and I plan to just walk up.
I still hope you can make it this wednesday, but if not we will definitely have another get together after this one when your car is fixed.
Hey Everyone
I live about 15 mins away from Georges Hall. Would it be ok if i joined the group.
I can't make it this week though as i don't have the car and we are going away at the beginning of next week and it is a long haul flight so lots to sort and early so we are not doing stuff the night before :)

hehe thought i'd jump on while i could.lol
thanks for the offer of the lift, but its ok even if you could come get me. i should be ok. FIL and my mum said they will help to pay for it so i should be ok for money. but i may be borrowing my little brothers car. he only has his L's and only drives it on the weekend so i should be able to borrow it til mine gets fixed. its a small car but i think i should be able to fit both car seats in it and a small stroller in the back. my car is a commodore sedan and my brothers is a hatch. so fingers crossed i should be fine.
Clinya-fine by me :smiliedance: be great to meet you when you can finally meet up :D
We should be there . . hopefully its not to hot !!
Oh good, it sounds like there will be a few of us there! :yelclap:
