What to do with venison?

We got some diced venison from a friend but don't know how to cook it, anybody got a tried and tested recipe?

Or should I just bung it in the slow cooker with some red wine which is my fail safe method of cooking just about anything :rolleyes:

if you go to the womens weekly site and find the recipe section you can type in the main ingredients and it will come up with some recipes for you. I haven't had venison in a looooooong time. I can't even remeber how it was cooked.

I was about to suggest frying it in red wine - but seeing as you have a slow cooker - definately use that.

I love venison. I must get onto my mate and tell him to go shooting again becuase I want some now.
