We're staying in Kew for a few days (in a relative's flat that's furnished but just set aside for friends to stay in - lucky us!!), but will be cash-strapped and with both kids.
Our 'big' activity will be Puffing Billy for one of the days, but then we'd just like to look for some nice playgrounds and give the kids a fun few days and a change of scenery for us :D
Any indoor play centers around the city or inner-eastern suburbs? What about a few good playgrounds and parks in the Kew/Hawthorn area?
Thanks so much in advance!!! :flowerz:

Central Park is pretty close to Glenferrie road.. you can get a tram right to it.
You get the tram down Glenferrie (heading south from kew), hop off at Wattletree Road in Malvern, catch the tram east down wattletree, and where it ends - is central park.
Theres a playground and plenty of space to run around, and a chicken shop, bakery and cafes if you want lunch.
Its not far from Kew/Hawthorn really, takes me 10 minutes to drive to hawthorn from my place and I live near the park.
Theres Billy-Lids indoor play centre in Hawthorn - its just off glenferrie road. (google) I went there for a mothers meet and its pretty cool.
The Botanical Gardens is between there and the city as well.. You should be able to get a tram to it from where you are staying (you may have to swap trams) its a little bit south of you and closer to the city (just)

You're welcome :D
I've lived here for three years and thats all the information I have lol.
I don't get out much
Or more to the point - I don't pay attention to my surroundings.
Kew/Hawthorn are nice - theres some neat little strips of shops/cafes along Glenferrie road that are good for a wander.
PS ~ Let us know if you'd like to meet some hubbers, I am sure many would be happy to go to the play centre or park also
*ahem* Yes, Em - catching up with some Hubbers is definitely required!!!
Em, I HAVE to see you. When will you be down?
