Trying to Conceive after Miscarriage

I was just wondering how long everyone waits after a mc before ttc. I have just had a mc and had d&c this week. My ob said to wait 3 months. I was really keen to start as soon as my period starts again.

Also wondering what methods others use to track ovulation. It took over 12 months for me to conceive this time even though i was really trying.

Any advice would be appreciated.:)

i had a m/c over the easter weekend, i was around 3 weeks, although i thought i was closer to 6 weeks, anyway i had a period about 2 weeks ago and we are already trying again, my doc said nothing about waiting, but i didnt have d&c, sorry im not much help, also i have borrowed my friends "maybe baby" to see when im o'ing, but as yet it hasnt showed, however my friend said it never showed her as o'ing, even though she did fall pg.

I had a m/c at the beginning of March, my periods came back 6 weeks later and now I'm pregnant again. So it didn't take us long at all.

As for determining when I O - I just watch my CM and BD every second day.

Hi Caitlinmay, You can definitely start trying again after your first normal period. I think some docs recommend 3 months to let your hormones settle and make sure your ready for it emotionally, but so long as you feel good just go for it!! :)

I think I will try after my first period. Am hoping it wont take as long to fall pregnant this time.:fingerscrossed:
