Positives only - wishing well wording help

Hi!!

DF has finally set a date with me and we're getting married next spring!! :smiliedance:

We'll be having our engagement party in 4 months and will be holding a wishing well...

All of the wording I can find is all about the actual day, not for an engagement party...

Any ideas would be fantastic!!

Generally, yes.

However, we have lived together for 5 years now, have 2 children and don't require anything for the household...

Our family and friends know this, they also know that we are not well off and a wishing well engagement will cover a little of the cost for the wedding.

We will be having a honeymoon register for the wedding.

we had our engagement party 26 april 2008 and we ask for no pressies for the same reasons as we have lived together now for 4 yrs and we didnt need anything we asked people to BYO.
so i was firm about no pressie as its hard to cater for everyone with alchoal as people drink different things theses days
but really its totally up to you about having a wishing well at your engagement.
personally i would do it as i will have one at my wedding i could not expect people to do it at both but thats just me we got a couple of gifts and flowers but its not about presents well it wasnt to me its about celebrating my happy day with my family and friends
