Paraumbilical hernia?

I've just got back from the doc and been told I have a paraumbilical hernia! I'm planning on TTC in the very near future and want to know if anyone has has one of these while preg, and if so, whether it was a problem? I have a chance to get it fixed beforehand, but it's only small and they said it would be very unusual for it to need urgent surgery within the next year, but that I might want to get it fixed before falling preg as my belly might make it worse. The other consideration is if I get it repaired, being preg might make it happen again and it'll need another repair afterwards. If anyone has had this, I'd be grateful to hear your comments.
