This is a weird question but does anyone know if the milk can come back after months of not bf'ing??

DD is now 11 months and I stopped bf at 5 months because my thyroid disorder caused the milk to dry up.

But lately, I have been getting that tingle in my nipples like when milk was coming out and I swear I have also had a few tiny droplets every now and then.

It is really possible that I could be producing milk again? Maybe my hormones are all over the place (I am on HRT and my thyroid was underactive).

Anyone else had this ir know what I might be experiencing? It's weirding me out! I would LOVE to be able to bf again, but I don't think DD would know what to do with it. She would prolly just poke my nipples and laugh!!

Is there any chance you could be pregnant?
This is how I found out I was again and I was only 2 weeks pregnant! And after a couple of days it went away.........

It's been happening for the last 3-4 months, maybe more, and I am definately not pregnant.
Hmmm.....

I also get the let down feeling occasionally. I have no idea why. I will be interested to hear what people say about this.

I've got a friend who relactated out of the blue when her DS was 5 (she fed him till he was 2). The doctor believed it was the stress of her breaking up with her boyfriend that caused it - but there are a number of reasons it can happen.

Maybe email one of the ABA counsellors. They're great.

thanks elissas! It is interesting to hear that it is possible. I was beginning to think I was a freak or something....
Will contact ABA people tomorrow. I really should go to bed now. Got uni in the morning.
