Hi,

Just wondering when bubs get their first tooth. My DS is 9 months and still no sign of a tooth.

My bub is only 5 months, but I didn't cut my first tooth till my 1st birthday!

Probably not the precise kind of answer you want, but babies usually get their first tooth when it starts growing out of their gum :D It'll happen in it's own good time.

My DS didn't get his first tooth til he was 17mths :eek: He just turned 3 and has only just got his '2yr old' molars and also 2 in the front on the bottom...not the middle ones, but the one on either side of them.

My DD is 5mths and is not showing any signs of teething yet.

My DD2 got her first tooth at about 9 1/2 months.

She got 5 teeth in 4 days!!

DD1 cut her first one at 11 1/2 months, and DD2 at 5 months, so they are all different...don't stress, it'll happen when it happens.:thumbsup:

The dude has two teeth at 9 months, but one of his little buddies doesn't have any at the same age.

Enjoy your little gummy bear while he still is one :laughing: .

Emily has just cut her first two teeth in the last few days - she is 10 months old on Thursday! 2 other babies in my Mums Group are still 100% gummies - I think its very cute :)

All babies are different, my son is only just past 4 months and he's already getting a tooth (just noticed it today.)

I've read average is six months and that girls tend to get their first teeth earlier than boys, but babies don't read (so they don't know when they are "supposed" to do something!) I wouldn't worry.

I would say, and this is something else I've read, that if your baby hasn't got their first tooth by twelve months to ask the doctor about it. I don't know what they could do? but that is the advice i've heard.

Other than that, don't worry. As you would have read, all babies develop at their own pace and there is no such thing as normal.

Max is one in a week and STILL DOESN'T have A TOOTH!:eek:

So really don't stress or worry to much, it'll happen in good time.
