pregnancy and the pill...

Hi everyone,
Just wondering if there is anyone who has fallen pregnant whilst on the pill?? If so what happened and how did you know you were pregnant??

Have been taking the pill for 2 years now and think that i may be pregnant. going to do a test tomorrow but just wanted to know if it had happened to anyone else??

Yep I fell pregnant on the pill. I only realised when I came off it to give my body a break and I never got my period! I took a test and sure enough, two pink lines.

I had taken antibiotics though, and wasn't told they can affect the pill... so I suspect that's what happened.

I know 2 people who have fallen pregnant on the pill. One had vomited a while after taking her pills, but didn't even think for a second that she may have thrown the pill up...she had. Another is just a mystery, she was on any medication, antibioticsn is a common one to undo the pill, but she wasn't on any thing, they do say it's only 99. something accurate, so I suppose some has to be the .some thing % .

yep i was on the pill and we used a comdon:eek: i when to the doc with chest pains which turn out to be heartburn:rolleyes: thats how i found out

I did miss on this month, but i have missed them before and not fallen pregnant. I have 2 days left on the sugar pill and no period yet. I usually get them on the first or sencond day. I dont feel sick but i didnt get sick with the girls until about 8weeks. I maybe stressing over nothing but its just a bit out of the ordinary.

my aunt has 2 kids concieved on the pill, my sister has 2 concieved on the pill, a friend of mine concieved with depo provera. it all depends on how fertile you are. sure fire way not to get pregnant, dont have sex!!!! lol.

i wouldnt be suprised if you are preggers. please do let us know.

I too fell pregnant on the pill. I was on prescribed anti depressants and they somehow interefered with it. I have a happy and healthy 1yo though :)

I have asked this exact question if you check out my threads the one preg pill will have some more answers to the same question.

also i have come off my pill to give my body a break we are using condoms, once or twice we didn:shame: and i haven't had a period since the beginning of feb yet the two tests i have done have come back neg. if anyone has any ideas.:detective:

Yep count me as another who fell pregnant whilst on the pill..... I was suspicious like you because I usually got AF by day three of sugar pills.... I let it go and put it down to being stressed at work and home.... then when I started getting emotional over nothing a few weeks later I thought something was up.... did a test and sure enough two lines!

I looked into things a little further... I knew about anti-biotics and vomiting and their affect on the pill... I hadn't been sick as such, but when I get stressed I tend to get stomach upsets and the runs (TMI I know).... when I looked into things diarrhea and even fever can affect its effectiveness... it hadn't even crossed my mind!

i was another one that was on the pill when i fell preg

when it was time for mt period it just never came

i done 4 home tests and they al lcame back positive lol
then went to the doc he confirmed it

i was 11 wks and 5 days when i found out

I fell pg on the pill with DD1 and DD2!!

With DD1 I just knew as soon as it happened!! I was very intune with my body at the time (still am really) and felt different the very next daY.

With DD2, DP and I were going through a rough patch and I was fairly well abusing my body so was not so in sync with its happenings for a while, anyway, I kept getting my period for 4 months and only found out I was pg by chance (during a u/s for something unrelated) at 14 weeks, as soon as I found out I stopped taking my pill (and stopped doing everything else). I was lucky that my bub was unharmed by it.
