Recording Artists Support Gold Coast Milk Bank

Various recording artists, including Marcia Howard, Tiffany Eckhardt, Missy Higgins, Kristina Olsen, Nadia Sunde, Rachel Hore, Liz Frencham & The Dream Seat, Deborah Conway, Lil’Fi, Rose Bygrave, The Waifs, Kacey Patrick & Stringmansassy, Katie Noonan & Elixir, Melissa Forbes, Jo Jo Smith, Mia Dyson, Zardi, women In Docs and Natalie Griffiths have banded together to make: "The Gift: A Woman's Song" (under the artist's name of "Mother's Milk Bank" ), with all the proceeds from sales going towards the establishment of a donor mother’s milk bank on the Gold Coast:-

Personally, I just want to take a moment to say...YAY!!! I am so delighted to see this issue being brought into the public eye, and some big Aussie names getting behind it. Hopefully this bodes well for at least a tiny bit more mass acceptance and understanding of this option as a first alternative to actual breastfeeding. :yelclap:

How cool! Do you think you could donate even if you live in another city? Cos I have an awesome supply (PLENTY of milk to spare!) and would love to donate. What a great idea that artists are supporting the cause. Woohoo! For women who have had breast surgery, or have inverted nipples, or are seriously ill etc it'd be a great way to help them and their babes out.

Vespertine, I dont see why you couldnt donate from interstate as mothers can send EBM free of charge on Bus lines to the SCN at the womens, the milk bank would only need to arrange to collect it.

A good cooler is all you would need and send it in bulk lots.
