My DD has been hanging around a 2 year old who now has chicken pox full blown. I actually want my DD to get chicken pox, as then she will more than likely have lifetime immunity. I would say she will have it in the next week or so.

My question is for those whose children about the same age have had chicken pox. How was it??? I mean, at least she is not scratching properly, she just uses the back of her hands, so maybe this will reduce any scarring. On the otherside, DD is walking and climbing on everything, so there is no chance to make her rest!

The other thing is that she has excema that we are dealing with and I hav heard that this can make the chicken pox symptoms worse. Any feedback?

My sister who was 7 months old ended up getting chicken pox off our other sister.(sorry if thats confusing) She didnt have it bad there were only a few spots. It didnt even bother her too much,no scratching and it cleared up within 8 days. Also one of my four younger sisters was born with exzema and mum put her in the bath..The 3rd youngest sister threw a piece of charcoal in the bath and the exzema went..Im not saying do this im just posting it as i thought it was interesting when mum told me.

My DD1 was older when she had it, but she didn't get itchy with it, however she did get quite a few scars, including on her face. she hadn't scratched at all.
