Hot on the heels of veve's thread about if you DO pack stuff for the kiddlie-winks to do.. I thought I'd ask.. What do you pack?

I'm going to have to start taking stuff to restaurants/grandparents/friends for Cobey to do as he does get bored... and I'd like it all to find in one of those large flat pencil cases (around A4 size)

All I can think of is colouring in pencils/crayons, colouring in book, blank paper and just normal book... anything else I should stuff in there?

I pack all of ds's stuff into a plastic lunchbox. I usually pack -

Colouring in book
Blank paper
Pencils
A couple of hotwheel cars
Some little picture books

I find that these things will keep him amused and quiet.

I have a little magna doodle thingy that goes everywhere with us .... DD loves it.

I also take pencils and paper and stickers, a small coin purse (as she loves it) a small ringing toy mobile, a tiny care bear teddy that she loves and a small wiggles book.

Today at the doctors the dr had a bananas in pajamas stamp, which she stamped onto a paddle stick. DD has carried it with her the entire day!!!!! Such small things amuse them sometimes ....

I have a little bag, with crayons, stickers, little pad, bubbles, magna doodle, story book, some dried apple and sultanas.
Stamps and some of her toys, depending on how long we are going to be.

2 or 3 balloons. DD is 4.5 years old, and I still carry balloons for instant games. I'm the favorite mum at airport gates and lounges

Mini dolls (2 or 3 inches high) or small animals.
current favorite cuddle toy.

haha I bet you are popular, Martha :D I seem to gather kids when I'm at the library because I'm sitting on the ground reading aloud to Cobes :p

Small animals are a good idea... I assume we're talking the toy kind

funny how you go to cafes or restaurants and the most fun thing there is the glass of water, salt and pepper shakers and those little sugar sachets.
