My beauitful little boy come into the world on May 3rd 2008.... This is how it all happen, at 4am on Saturday May 3rd i woke up needing to go to the toilet, when i got up i lost a big gush of what i thought was me wetting myself which is really weird as i never wet myself anyways i carried onto the toilet where i had alot of white sticky stuff in my undies, i thought to myself omg is this my plug? but then i told myself no, its not as i was only 37 weeks, i got off the toilet, jumped back into bed and i started having pains i thought they were only baxton hicks and i was getting excited at the thought of my body getting itself ready. From 4am till 6:30am i didnt get any sleep as the pains were too uncomtable tho they werent painful at all, from 6:30am till 8:00am i only got 5 mintures sleep, at 8:00am i got up because i couldnt stand lying it bed any longer.
I jumped on bubhub and starting chatting away to some of the lovely ladies in the due in May thread, everytime i moved or got up a big gush of water came, i started thinking hang on i cant be wetting myself there is no way so i got up and asked my mum if she thinks my waters have broken she said "it sounds like it" and "that i should ring the hospital to see what they had to say" at around 10:30am i rang the hospital and they told me to "put a pad on and call back in a hour" so i put a pad on and took my doggies for a 3.4km walk to kill an hour, the whole walk i kept getting lots of gush's and lots of contractions, when i got home around 12:00pm i got back onto the phone to the hospital and told them my pad was full, the midwife on the phone told me to come in, she said dont rush, just come in anytime, that i only had to be checked.
At 1:30pm i got in dandenong hospital, i got a lovely midwife her name was Karen, i went into one of the rooms where they check u, she checked my pad and said it looks like my waters have broken but she will get a doctor to do a internal just to be sure, a doctor came in about 10 mintures later, did a internal and said yes my waters have broken, i was so happy! i knew my baby would be here soon, i couldnt control my excitment. The midwife then said they would get a heart trace on bubs and i could go home, labour for a while and that she would most likely see me back tonight. At this stage my contractions were 5 mintures apart lasting 30 seconds.
The Midwife hooked me up to a machine and started to get a heart rate on bubs everything seemed fine expect he was sleeping and they needed to get a heart rate with him awake so they gave me icey cold water that didnt work so they gave me orange juice but my cheeky boy didnt want to wake up so i had more water till he finally woke up, this is when things started to go wrong, everytime i had a contraction bubs heart rate dropped, the midwife quicky got a doctor in - Steve lee who checked for bubs head but he couldnt tell where it was so he got a u/s machine and yes bubs head was down, really low! at that stage another contraction came and again bubs heart rate dropped, the midwife told me i wouldnt be going home that they needed to get this baby out quick so they took me into a labour room, the midwife asked me if there was a number i wanted to go in i said 3 as it was my favorite number.
When i got into the labour ward 3, the doctor induced me as they needed to get bubs out quick but as the contractions came faster and stronger bubs got more and more stressed so they told me they have to stop my labour and take me up to have a c section, i was so scared, i didnt want to have my baby that way but i didnt have a choice they got my to sign the consent forms and wheeled me upto threater.
By the time i got into threater my whole body was shaking, i was so scared, there was so many doctors, they all started talking to me but i didnt take in anything they said i was too in shock, my mum left as she had to get changed so she could come into threater i didnt want her to go.
After mum left i got the epi put in, i cryed and cryed, my mum wasnt there, i was scared, i couldnt stop shaking and the epi going in hurt, they had to try so many times to get in it, it seemed to take 4eva.
I started to slowly lose feeling in my lower body and i freaked, i wanted my mum there, i didnt no what was taking so long? finally they brought her and i was so relived, they started cutting me open i could feel pushing and pulling, the tears kept running down my face and i was just staring into space i couldnt belive what was happening.
At 4:26pm Jaylen Isaac came into the world! he didnt cry straight away, i felt my heart stop but then i heard a cry and it was an amazing feeling, my little boy was fine! he had the cord wrapped around his neck twice, they brought him over to me and omg he is the most perfect thing i have ever seen, i couldnt belive he just came out of me, it was love at first sight :valentine:.
