Hi Tracey  Which class are you in, the 9.30 one?
My kids are struggling with having to learn different songs since they only just got used to last terms over the holidays, lol. Now they're going around singing them all muddled together

I've never heard of an agricultural contractor before, what exactly do they do?
My hubby is an electrician... but he only knows mining. In fact, the last 2 times he has touched residential stuff he blew them up. He mainly installs power stations or sells power to mine sites. The contracts aren't his but I guess you could say he is 2IC (so he is the one who has to work away all the time rather than stay in the workshop). He seems to think he is going to go out on his own, but since gen sets cost 2.5 million each I don't think that is about to happen any time soon! LOL.
Prior to this job he was just working as an electrical supervisor, which he did for about 3 years, thats the longest he has ever stuck with the same job... he much prefers going place to place, he gets bored way too easily.. which of course always leaves me stressing about where the next job is going to come from :hair: (and so far for no good reason lol).

Agricultural Contractors are hired by farmers to comin in and do work for them ... things like making hay and silage and cultivation work.
whitemagicmother it sounds like your DH sounds like he has an interesting job. I hope he sticks at this job for a few more years for you, its hard going out on your own. it adds a lot more stress to your life working for yourself.

I guess your hubby must be extremely busy during certain seasons and then get large breaks during others then?

It's not so bad going out on his own, he already does work under his own company, just mainly for another company (only 80% of his work can come from any one company though due to tax reasons so we do a few things on the side direct for other mine sites). He has been in the industry for the most part of 20 years so he has enough contacts to keep him going, the only scary part is needing 2.5 million dollar generators, and an industrial location for the workshop... I think he is dreaming, but I'll let him keep doing it as long as he doesn't try to borrow that kind of money  I do keep telling him the grass is always greener  I don't plan on being a receptionist after years of study (no more than I already am anyway)... so he couldn't do it even if he wanted to on his own lol.

So quiet in here, either no one has anything to talk about or they are all too busy having a life...

Well it's been ages since I've popped in. Over 2 months I think. I'm finally doing my prac for my Teachers aide course. I might actually be qualified by next term. Yay!! It's only taken me 2 years to finish a six month course. I guess that's what happens when you try to study and look after the family whilst hubby is away. DH is home next week but I have mixed feelings about it. He's feeling the stress and pressure at work and seems to be bringing it home to me each break. Winge, winge winge. I guess I'd best go to bed. Sorry guys, maybe now with my glum mood is not the best time for me to resurface on BubHub.

Hey all,
been a while since I've been in here, but it's been mighty busy! we're now (finally) living in Perth (NOR) whilst hubby does a 9/5 roster, and he's due home tonight, just in time for our anniversary tomorrow - yay!
Anyone else live up this way?
We only just moved here one month ago, and our pets arrived here about an hour ago, so we're off outside to play with the pups!
Chat soon,
annalise

Hi all,

Good grief it's been ages since I've been on the forum! What is new with us.... We'll I'm pregnant and due in June, I think my DH got me at a weak moment and we managed to conceive again straight away, so I'm going through the mixed emotions of being excited and terrified of looking after two kids under 18 months!

DD is growing up nicely, although last month she had one illness after another and by the end of it we both ended up with a cold and I'd had enough! I was so exhausted.

Am getting really tired now that I'm in the last trimester and running after DD is really tiring, so by the end of the day I almost pass out!

Am feeling a bit low and lonely at the moment, hopefully it's just the hormones and it will pass soon, but this apathy is a bit consuming, so thought I'd better do something about it. Will try to get out and go for a walk this afternoon, even so DD doesn't get cabin fever either and as it's such a lovely day am hoping the sunshine will be a good pick me up.

Thanks for the vent and hope to be here again soon,
Mrs MM
