View Full Version : worried for my sister!
my sister called me today and she had just gotten out of hospital..she went in with bleeding, affraid she was having a miscarriage..they did a scan (the first one for this pregnancy) and they found she has a placenta previa...and also she is pregnant with twin girls! baby A looks great..baby B looks fine, growing good, nice heartbeat but they found a growth on the back of the babys neck..they dont know what it is..but its quite large..she has to see her doctor next week..she is really worried, and I am really worried as well. They have her on complete bed rest..really hard as she has 5 kids already and she is only 16 weeks pregnant! Any ideas as to what the growth could be? And is the placenta previa a big worry?

A very close friend of mine had something simialr and turned out to be a cyst that actually went away on it own. The placent privia usually requires a c-sect.
Hun I have no answers to those questions but just wanted to pass on my thoughts and prayers for your sister and her little babies. :hugs:

I am not sure what the growth could be.
I hope everything is ok!!
I dont know how close your family is, but maybe you could all help and put in for someone to come help her, do some house work or something.
I know when I had DH away and I had just had DD2 and she was screaming and I was hysterical, I appreciated someone just helping with the house work! Doing the little things that got overlooked!
:goodvibes:good vibes to your sis
I pray that everything turns out ok, sorry that you are so worried:(:hugs:

:hugs: sorry i have no idea about the growth but i will pray every thing turns out ok
placenta privia is when the placenta is covering the cervix. when bub is born the bub needs to come out first followed by the placenta so a c/s is needed becuase with the placenta covering the cervix thats not possible.
the placenta does not actually move itself during pregnancy as it is attached to the wall of the uterus but it can grow out of the way (cant think of a better way to put that if someone can make that clearer it might help :o:p)
so basically if your sister goes into labor she needs to get to the hospital quick sticks.
:hugs: :hugs: just wanted to send some hugs :hugs:
