Rash around DDs mouth

DD has had this rash for a couple of weeks around her mouth (more near her chin) it keeps coming and going. I have tried Duit facial gel and bepanthen but it seems to just come back:confused: Has anyone else had this problem?

It could be from dribble, especially if she has a dummy as well. Is she teething, cos i know my girls got REALLY dribbly around then.....

Yeah I think she is teething AGAIN... She has been wanting the dummy a lot and there has been lots of dribble. Thanx Shazbutt:)

Yeah to me it sounds like 'dribble rash'. DS gets it sometimes and you're right it does come and go. I just use bepanthen for about a day or two and then it disappears. But it doesn't look very nice while it's there does it?

Nat had it on his chin and the top of his chest he dribbled so badly when he was teething. The best thing to do is try and keep around her mouth as dry as you can!

Also look at any meds or anything you might be using - even gripe water or wind drops. They can cause a rash if bubs spits it out and it makes contact with skin.

I know DS got a small rash from Infants Friend, I had to rinse with water if it ever touched his face.

I agree with the other girls. Definately sounds like a teething rash. Brion gets it really bad, I just try to keep it to a minimum by constantly drying his face. The teething gels didnt really work that well for us. I found that washing his rash with a saline solution really helped it though, I have been doing that for about a week now and Brion's rash has almost gone. Good Luck!!:fingerscrossed:
