I use the kite fold but have to fold a sepreate flat into a rectangle and put it in the middle to get more than an hour out of it lol! So looking for different sugestions. I have an 18 month old boy if that helps.

i hae 2 faves, but i dont know what they're called!!
i like the one where yuu fold it into a diamond using two adjacent corners and then fold the top down and the bottom up, i think that's the kite one yuur talking about.
and then there's the one where yuu fold it in half and then bring one corner over to make a triangle on one side and then yuu turn it over and fold the square side over to the middle a few times. that may not make sense =p but if some bdoy knows what it's called yuuc ould look itup on google or something! =]

i find that we either have to have a nappy cover or another towel folded and put in the middle otherwise our daughter wets straight through it with the first or second wee!!!

We used the kite, but with an extra fold for boys. :)

Before you start the fold you turn about 2 inches in on the one side, then start the kite fold. You get an extra strip of fabric through the middle to help obsorb the wee! :D

i looked at that site and the other one i'm talking about is referred to one there as the night kite. =]

Im a little sad, we used Terry's for Oliver until he was about 10 months. This time we have no washing maching, so it probably wont be possible. :(

yeah i use the kite for my dd but because i had so many flats i cut a heap of them up into 1/2 rectangles and i fold that to make an extra pad in the middle too.

with ds - i use the one that says nite kite. with the extra bit in the middle. this fold will be harder when he gets older so i don't know if that will work for you.

i also have some pockets and fitted nappies that i love for going out. i find that i can get longer out of a pocket nappy than i can with a flat terry.

if you google the nappy lady that site has more folds on it. a lot of people on here like the jo fold but i find it a bit tricky.

i like the bat fold, but it doesnt work well on bigger babies unless you have big nappies, which i made a few flats with extra wide flanellette :)

I like the JO fold, but I have a girl, I think we used the chinese bat fold on our son for the most part.

As for covers - we've used either Bummis Super Whisper Wraps or Baby Beehinds PUL covers. But our love at the moment is wool - longies for winter, and shorties/soakers for summer.

I use the neat fold on the nappy lady site. I can remember helping Mum fold like this for my lil bro & sis.
