View Full Version : Valco or Beema Q
Hi just wondering if anyone could provide me with their feedback on the Valco Runabout or the Beema Q 3 wheel prams. I've narrowed my choices down to these two, however i'm wondering which will be the best for lots of walking?

Beema Q hands down LOL I have a Beema and it is awesome for walking the only down side is that it is a big bulky pram, but if your using it alot for walking (which I did :D ) it is Fab:smiliedance:
sorry to say beema Q was **** sorry yes good for walking but you will need something smaller to go to the shops with..... we also brought a maclearen stroller for the shops fantastic but expensive....

I LOVE the Beema Q! I love it for walking, shops - everything. I have a TINY car, and it even fits in there! So easy to operate. :)
It might be worth checking out the Choice website (www.choice.com.au) - I think from memory there is a safety issue with the Valco, but my memory could be playing up!
When Choice magazine rated a whole bunch of 3-wheelers, only 2 passed the tests and one of them was the Beema Q. In fact, it was rated the best value since the only other one that passed the test was the Mountain Buggy at almost double the price. From memory, the Valco didn't rate too well. If you want to download the review, go to www.choice.com.au. I think it is about $12 to purchase. :)

3 people I know have had problems with their valco prams. The problems have ranged from wheel falling off, baby lying with legs higher than their head, lopsided part where baby lies, collapsing too easily.
Beema Q is awesome. I love it. Fits through any store checkout - not all prams do that.
I have a Beema, not the Q but the model before it I think, I'm pretty sure it's identical  . Anyway, I think it's great apart from the fact that it's so heavy. I've never tried, but I don't think I'd be able to lift it into the boot of the car. However, for manouverability and storage etc, it's fantastic.
You could also check the pram reviews (http://www.bubhub.com.au/communityprams.shtml)on Bubhub too.
The Q model is lighter and slimmer than the original Beema model. I think that's actually why they redesigned it. The Q is 11kg. I find it quite light, and it fits in the boot of my Pulsar nicely, which isn't a big car.
Fantastic,
I think that's all i needed to hear. The Valco is that little bit wider than the Beema Q too.
The Beema Q price is very reasonable - given my budget. :yelclap:
Now i can move onto the next big decision......... Cots. So many choices to make.
Cheers
