Hi, Just wanted to give feedback on a "sleep specialist" that I had come over because I was becoming completely frustrated with my ds day sleep. I hope I'm not breaking forum rules, I checked the rules and think it's ok but I won't post business name but if you are planning to call a sleep specialist over in Melbourne (she works in Brisbane too)...I would not recommend this one. I paid $180  to have someone come over for just over 2 hours to read me her booklet which she couldn't do without reading word for word, to read my newspaper that was on the kitchen table, bag her client from that morning and in the whole 2 1/2 hours she was there and ds was supposed to be sleeping, we only went in twice to give him a sleep message and needless to say...he didn't sleep.

Sorry...a bit of a long winded story but I don't want someone else to get ripped off by this "specialist". Very unprofessional and this forum has much much better and more helpful (not to mention free) advice. If you were planning to book someone and want the name of which one to avoid, you can pm me.

But happily I can say, ds is getting better with his day sleeping, nothing to do with her techniques because I didn't bother trying, but after soooo long of mucking about his first teeth finally cut so he is much happier now. Slowest growing teeth ever and longest teething period (poor munchkin) but all good...for now. :smiliedance:

Poor thing! I strongly suggest you try and book yourself into Koo Wee Rup! Their number is in your blue book. We did wait a month mind you so you would have to book in advance. Sometimes your CHN can help speed up the booking if its urgent depends on how busy they are too. Sarahs a great sleeper now during the day (night times vary as shes teething) but all the techniques we learnt were super helpful!

Ill never look back on the day stay and DH and I learnt so much.

A lot of places dont take babies over a year old this one does babies up to 12 months and uses CC methods. My girl has learnt how to settle herself during the day and usually goes to sleep instantly, so its helped us heaps.

I wouldnt bother calling those people to come and help you. Save yourself the money and heart ache. This place we went to was free and a saviour, thats all I have to say!
