View Full Version : Weight Watchers Thread
Hi all
I have decided to start a Weight Watchers Thread for support for each other...so if you have already started, are about to start of thinking of starting this is the place to be...
I have just had bub number 2 and have used the Weight Watchers system a couple of times successfully. I used to go to the meetings etc but since I cannot afford it at the moment, I am self doing it which will be a challenge but hopefully all the support on here will be great too!
With DS bub # 1 I put on 18 kgs and lost all but 6 kgs and with bub 2 I put on 11 kgs..soooo I want to loose 10 kgs in total but my mini goal is to lose 4 kgs which is the excess weight from DD and then 6 more kgs to get to my goal of 58kgs! Its been 5 years since I was that weight and I am looking forward to wearing nice clothes again instead of ones that just fit me even though they are years old!
So...this is day number 3 of WW and I am ok! Yesterday was really really hard and I drank 5 bottles of water to combat my hunger....
Please join in this thread....lots of support, advice, tips from each other as we all lose weight

I joined 5 weeks ago and have lost 4 kilos so far. Have had a couple of busy weeks lately with weddings etc so haven't been as 'good' as I would like... Back on track today. I also weigh on sat's.
My biggest thing is that from lunch time till dinner I just can not stop eating - even of I am not hungry. ATM there isn't any 'bad' food in the house very often so I am only scoffing rice crackers etc, but I just can not stop. What can I do to prevent these 'attacks'?
I'll join you girls... Baby (3) is 13 weeks old - been 'watching what I eat...as it goes in':shame: ... I need your motivation too - currently 90kg - losing 10kg would be a great starting goal.
I did the points program pre- babies (2000-01) lost 25kg I know it can be done...that took me about 6 months! I was wearing a size 10 skirt! :yelclap:
Starting weight 90kg (10/4/06)

i'm still pregnant so can't do much at the moment but baby due in June can I join in then? I've done WW before and it is expensive it would be good to have the support here on line instead of going to meetings.
Good luck all:thumbsup:
I bought the magnetic fridge points tracker and just love it!! Its like a little white board that sticks to your fridge that you record all your points on...everytime I am in the kitchen my points are staring at me which is great! I too am snacking on my 10 rice crackers for 1 point but I have just ordered some yummy things from their online shop...I love the chocolate rice crispies and have also bought caramints...they are all so expensive but I have a real sweet tooth and just crave chocolate and sugar so these will be great for me.
Welcome to Tingles, KateP and soon to join us bumpsmum when she has had bubs and starts up WW.
KateP drink water when you get like that....I find that i just keep drinking and drinking to combat my hunger and get me through a little longer. I also find that by 4.30pm I am ready for dinner, so slowly trying to stretch this out....last night was 5.00pm. Its ok as my son and husband are happy to eat early as well
I'm worried about easter! My son has already received a mountain of Easter Eggs from family and friends and I have bought him some as well and he just can't have all of them! I should have started WW a week later :-( I am going ok but just worry about the temptation of all this chocolate in the house!
I feel better in myself, I feel like I have lost some weight even in this short period..weigh in will tell on Saturday! What is everyone else feeling about Easter?
Hi everyone
I joined six weeks ago, i lost about 6 kilos, but then dislocated my knee and put about 5 kilos back on!! so mad at myself.
But i am off the crutches now and have decided to throw myself back into it.
Good luck everyone!
We have decided not to do easter this year.
Chocolate seems to make me and DH stomach sick, and since how my ds is only 11 months, i bought him a really cute peter rabbit toy. I figure this is the only year he wont care about easter eggs!!
We are packing a picnic for easter sunday so hopefully the temptation wont be too bad.
Hey guys, don't focus on 'Easter Sunday' as a bad day for the diet concious!
That chocolate is going to be around for a good few weeks... You must resist the temptation to 'gorge' yourself... just a small taste!! Then go for a family walk.
Tidy the house and put those easter eggs AWAY in a box...OUT OF SITE!! Your kids shouldn't be gorging the either!!!
Don't let anyone sabotage you!!!
If you decide to eat chocolate - then make that your meal... don't then sit down to a full smorgasboard lunch! Portion control too! You must!
Walk your kids to the park - they will love it...
Think of me when you walk... "move your big *** momma" (that's what I say in my head while I'm walking!!)
LOL...I won't deprive myself of a small egg or two - 1 point I think! If I deprive myself it will only make me want it more and really blow things out! I had 9 bonus points last night so had 3 lil eggs:shame: but I am just really starting to get the whole determined thing...especially when you start to try old clothes on and they start to slightly fit - things are still tight and it actually hurts my tummy...still tender from c-section
I will just keep drinking water every time I want to eat chocolate:smiliedance:
Hi all...today was 1st weigh in and....drum roll, I am pleased to say that I have lost 1.5 kilos! I know this won't be the norm but its a great feeling...it would be nice to loose this much every week!
:yelclap: Babytoo :yelclap: Well done
A 2kg loss here!! ;)
I'm expecting a slow week next week with this big one! Must work harder!!
I'd love some digital scales!! That would really tease your mind!
Keep up the good work!

Of course easter has been hard! - I've had a little nibble here & there with a cuppa:shame:
This morning I put the large broken egg sitting on the bench in my cupboard - so I wouldn't snack on it! (that was after a small nibble):shame:
That's the egg MIL gave DD - SABOTAGE!!!
Been for a few family walks... Just have to keep busy - doing the ironing at the moment!
Must be in control & get my mind off food - tiredness & stress I think are my problems?
I knew this week would be harder after the big loss!
I went to Target this morning - tried on jeans size 18 - too big:yelclap: ...a few weeks ago I did the same thing and they were too tight! Woo-Hoo!
I didn't buy any - I thought I'd make do with what I've got & maybe in a few weeks a 16 will be too big too!:fingerscrossed:
That gives me a little more encouragement!!

Hey girls
Hows everyone going this week??? Ive been ok with exercise but had a couple of bad food days.
Well after last Saturdays weigh in my weight stayed 'up'... I'm managing to get it back to 88kg - aiming for .5 loss!!
Just doing the usual park walk etc!!
Ultra slim milkshake in the morning seems to help me, snacking on grapes, carrots & rice crackers...the occasional choccy bunny!!:shame:
Keep up the good work girls!!
Weighed in this morning at just under 88kg - so that's okay, considering I had a minor increase last week... say .5kg
Have felt a bit :crying: down in regards to the whole thing... I guess you go in cycles...must keep motivated!!!
Gotta keep moving the house is a mess:eek: & I go back to work for 4hrs tommorrow!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Start: Saturday 8th April
Start weight: 90kg
Height: 172cm

Start: Saturday 8th April
Start weight: 67kg
Height: 158cm
Goal weight: 58.5kg

Well, I think my scales suck! They are real cheapos and I got on and off them 3 times and had three different readings so I averaged them out! Anyway a 0.5kg loss...better than nothing I guess...
How are we all going? I am finding it hard to keep motived, the food side is hard too especially when you buy snack things for your kids and they stare you in the face every time you open the cupboard!

hi girls,
thanks for your kind welcome. I will be weighing in tomorrow so :fingerscrossed: that I have lost some this week as well. I have been pretty good with my points, I find that writing down what I eat really helps me to look at what I am eating.
Good work to all the girls who have lost this week, it doesn't matter how much as long as it's a loss, and for those that didn't loose, chin up and you will loose in the next week.
Will come back tomorrow with my weigh in.

Start: Saturday 8th April
Start weight: 67kg
Height: 158cm
Goal weight: 58.5kg
Current weight: 61.5kg (5.5kg loss)
God, I was too scared to get on the scales this week...again no exercise and not eating very well, not eating much at all but when I do its not that good  Very tired this week and really unmotivated and ready to give up....but it would be shame, I am getting so close and slowly chipping away, 3 kg to go....has someone got any motivation for me, I really need it!
Well done babytoo!
You can do it easy! - Yoghurt & cut-up orange(mixed together) for lunch - that's what I used to have when I lost my big load a few years ago!
I personally am not feeling very commited at the moment?:( Don't know why? Baby stress (constant crying & boobie comfort)? 5 year old stress( just drives me bonkers:laughing: ? Almost 2 years old stress (night cough & sookie buba:rolleyes: )?...husband keeps sabotaging me...
I weighed around the same - 87kg
I must go - Baby screaming - trying to make her have a dummy!

Hey guys
Well done on all your losses. I have been pretty slack the last 2 weeks as DP has been on holidays, so I haven't exercised or eaten that well. So I haven't lost anything. Getting back into it this week as dp has gone back to work. Will see how I go this week.

Good luck for this week
Ok, I totally lost motivation... was going to dump this thread... NO!
So, I bought some digital scales! :yelclap: & a pair of new jeans that are a little tight! If that doesn't get me motivated...

Start weight: 90kg
Height: 172cm
Goal weight: 70kg

Kassiasmum (or any other meeting attenders) do you follow the original points program, or the newer program? How does the new program work?
I did ww about 6 years ago (pre-babies) & lost 25kg - took me 6 mths - looked super!:D Should have done some 'beautiful' photo's  wasn't 'into' photo's back then...

Tingles, I am soooo glad that you haven't given up, that's great news.
I follow the points program. They now have the no count system where they give you a list of foods that you can eat from, apparently more for people who just like their 3 meals a day and hardly snack during the day and you have to follow it religiously for it to work. Personally I like the points plan because it keeps me disiplined and I can still eat what I want, it's just how many points I am willing to spend to eat it.
Let me know if there is any other info that you want
Start: Monday 7 May
Start weight: 83 kg
Height: 157cm
Goal weight: 62kg
Current weight: 77.9kg
This week loss: 1kg
Total loss: 5.1kg
Ok...I'm still here too...also very low on the motivation....getting heaps of headaches and just a little down at the moment. Still losing weight but wanting to eat anything and everything all the time.
Start: Saturday 8th April
Start weight: 67kg
Height: 158cm
Goal weight: 58.5kg
Current weight: 60.5kg (6.5kg loss)
Geez....looks like we were all nearly goner.....heaven help me to stay with it!!
Hi ladies!
I just thought I would pop in here and say Hi  and encourage you all! I did weight watchers in 2004 and lost 17kgs (75kgs ---> 58kgs)... however some of the weight crept back on.. the begining of this year I was 62kgs, and joined weight watchers again... then I found out I was pregnant so had to stop after doing for 2 weeks! I am trying to eat well and not slip into my bad habits... but I am joining weight watchers again straight after bubs is born!
I have heard that weight watchers has a specific plan for lactating mothers... is this true or do you just get an increased amount of points?
I personally don't attend meetings, but I too recall hearing about the lactating mothers - I think you just get extra points...
WW is just a 'healthy' lifestyle & portion control as you learnt when you were a member - they probably could advise you on how many points a PG woman should have too! That would be interesting to know also...
Congratulations on your pregnancy & best of luck!:hugs:

Take a look at the WW website - they have some good recipies...
Portion control is a must, as well as avoiding those badies!
Always here to listen, help & encourage, but you have to find the commitment within yourself... I lost it for a couple of weeks - but I'm back in control now!

Hi guys,
i didn't weigh in today with it being a public holiday in QLD, so will update my stats next weekend, am hoping that I do alright, had a bit of a bad weekend and am going to the state of origin on Wednesday night, will just have to make sure that I am extra good for the rest of the week.
Tingles, glad to see that you've got your motivation back, good luck

Welldone Kassismum!:yelclap:
Today the day has gone a lot quicker than usual, I guess because of the gym, also it was nice not to have my kids nagging me (how terrible that sounds) I have had a 'better' day with them - they had some 'timeout' 'fun' away from me too!

I want to join tooooo!:) My DS is 17 weeks and I put on 30kgs!!! not good! I wasn't eating in excess (well I don't think so) I just seem to retain a lot of fluid, but it's taking a looooong time to get rid of! My DH and I started out get fit eat healthy diet about 2 months ago and I have lost about 20kg (that's including baby weight etc) I can't manage to lose the last 10 kg. The past 3 wks have been quite frustrating as I've lost zilch! I've even joined a gym (very cheap membership $39.95 per month) and nothing's happening! Yesterday I decided to do ww - have got the book from about 10 years ago so will follow that. Let's hope it works! Good luck to you all and I'll keep you posted :fingerscrossed:
Welcome to any newbies I may have missed!! Please list your stats so we can ALL be proud of your progress!!
monica8631 - 20kg !!! You should be very proud of yourself! :yelclap:
We are all here for the same reason - to help, teach & support each other ... go girl !! I've just bought a pass for my gym too! I was going to be lazy (my 2nd day) but I thought no way... you gotta move it to help lose it!

I had my 1st baby 3 months ago,and i piled on 30 kilos,mmm,not much fun.
But producing my son was all worth it, In the last 3 months i have lost 20 kilo's,now i need to lose another 40 kilos to get down to around 60 kg's.
I bought a treadmill and walk for 5 k's usually every night.

Kassiasmum WELL DONE!! Yes it does get harder every week... you have to make it a lifestyle change! For munchies I have things like 'sun dried tomato rice cakes' & rice crackers... Licorice (but not too much)... I seem to be struggling so far this week (compulsive daily weigher) Even though I'm exercising!:banghead:
I always found that when I did WW 6 yrs ago - when I exercised I wouldn't have a big weight loss...
angus'smum you are most welcome...we are here to support each other! Are you going to meetings or just doin' it yourself? I'm doing it myself & weigh in every Saturday morning (a bit of a strategy... just incase I indulge a little on weekend, I've got the rest of the week to be good!) :shame:
How is everyone going? I'm having a pretty **** week...I think tiredness:sleeping: has alot to do with my ability to stay focused!! I must go to bed NOW! DD #2 & DD # 3 MUST LEARN TO SLEEP THRU!!! Arrrh!
Still going to the :smiliedance: gym...just eating bad!:shame:

Hello to all of you WW members.... I have just noticed this thread - what a good idea. I have been at WW classes since March 2006, but have only lost 6.6 kilos - to tell you the truth I have been not strictly counting points, but it's only now starting to show on the scales. I had Amy in January and am still breast feeding and think that has helped shift the kilos so far, so now need to get stuck into it! Got weighed tonight and lost 0.4 kilos! Anyway good reading your success stories and encourages me to want to have better weight results! :smiliedance: My goal is to look semi good in a bikini by the summer....
g'day scotsmum,
Firstly welcome & secondly our buba's are both born in January:) - mine on the 8th...
Good luck on your journey - I think it's harder when your b/feeding! (I'm in the same boat) I think we have hormonal food requirements sometimes  some weeks I am just extra hungry - I blame b/feeding...
 congratulations on your weight loss - any loss is a great loss!

Hi Girls,
I'm so grateful to have found this thread, I had the unfortunate realisation last Tuesday at my first WW meeting that I need to lose alot of weight. My pregnancys were kind to me 3kg:) But all the fertilty treatment took its toll hoofing on about 25kg.
I'm just finding it so hard to get the motivation to excercise in this cold weather and finding the time to fit it in
I look forward to encouraging you all on and hopefully get thinner doing it.

Best thing I have ever done is read the book called 'Fat or Fiction' by Donna Aston. My whole body composition and shape changed and you will see results after a couple of days (I did) The best thing about it is that its not a diet - its a lifestyle, a way of living. I discovered it nearly 4 years ago and have never had any weight problems since. No more fluid retention or bloating or cravings. Its amazing and I guarantee you will never look back!

Hi guys,
Welcome to all the newbies, glad to see some more people joining us on our weight loss journeys.
I weighed in today and was pleasantly surprised to have lost again this week, it was not a good week.
I hear you scotsmum, hot chippies are my downfall, but I still have them once a week, I just don't eat as many of them now, if I am having them for lunch, I eat my prepared lunch first and then have some chips, I just couldn't give them up.

Hi everyone!
Well I'm also joining you here in this thread.
I started weight watchers on Jan 31st this year and I've lost 7.8kg to date (after a bit of yo-yo-ing lately!)
I have 3 major issues -
1) Lack of exercise as it's freezing here in Tas and it's hard to juggle around 3 kids
2) Tracking. I'm on the points plan and I have 30 points as I'm breast feeding but sometime it's just far too hard to track, which is why I've been yo-yo-ing! This week I'm back on track and have been doing a good job so far
3) Will power. I have such a hard time keeping my hands out of the kids maccas fries, or refraining from having a double serve of light ice cream etc (know the feeling?!)
So do I have to bare all and put my weight down here?
OK, here goes. . .
Start date: Tues 31st Jan
Start Weight: 100.9 kg :crying: size 18
Height: 161 cm
Goal Weight: 65 kg
Current weight: 93.1 kg size 16
This weeks loss: 0.7 kg
Total loss: 7.8 kg
My meetings are on a Tuesday so I'll post my loss (:fingerscrossed: ) then.
Is that what I have to do?
So I've been on it now for a little over 5 months, how long has everyone else been on it?
OOOooops...had a gain this week :shame:
Don't be too hard on yourself! I can put on this much and more if I'm due for my period! It's really hard, especially if I've had a good week, but then I have an extra big loss the next week!
Just forget what you have done, and start again. WW has taught me that every day is a new say and you can start afresh even if you did have fish and chips the night before (guilty! )

Hi and welcome annabanna,
I myself have been on my journey only a short time, since the beginning of May and have done quiet well so far, although this week has been a bit of a disaster. I to am doing the points and also tracking, but have been really slack with my tracking the last couple of week,, I need to get back into tracking again, keeps me honest in what I am eating.
I weigh in on Mondays so usually come here Monday or Tuesday and put my stats to paper and show everyone how I've gone, this is a bit of a motivation in itself sometimes.

Hiya,
I've been WWing since my son was 7 weeks old. I'm 800g from goal :smiliedance: so :fingerscrossed: it happens tomorrow! I've lost 5.1kg so far.
Welcome Annabanana... congratulations on dropping a dress size & losing 7.8kg to date! Woo-hoo!
So it's 30 points when breastfeeding, I try to roughly count up to 20 as my max per day - I didn't know what you could have while b/feeding (just knew it was a bit more).
As for exercise - I am a BIG believer in eating your self slim!!! This can be done - I've done it pre-babies (6 years ago) - I lost 25 kg on WW! It really is a commitment & healthy lifestyle - I always found if I exercised I didn't have a good loss - that is what happened over the last couple of weeks...I think my body fights it!
I am a compulsive weigher...every morning!!:banghead: I am hoping to do really well tommorrow when I weigh in! A few weeks before I joined this forum I was 94 kg - tomorrow I am aiming to hit 10kg loss!!:yelclap:
By the way I have 3 girls too... youngest 6 mths...I was always using the excuse no I can't go to the gym - can't put the girls in the creche, so I bought 10 visits & do min 60 mins on the treader- THAT'S MY TIME!! Without the nagging! The day goes quickly too!

i have a 10 month old daughter(thats justed started crawling) and put on all my weight after going in contraception bout 3 years ago, so, wanna be skinny again!!
be a yummy mummy!! lol:laughing:
ok my stats
start date: 3rd july 2006
start weight: 73kg
height: 163 cm
goal weight: 60 kg.
also, what are you guys eating for dinner?
Hi all!!
Thanks for that Tingles, yes I'm now into a 16 but there's a long way to go! (Baby steps!) I know I have no excuse about exercise but it's fun making them up!:D
Breastfeeding mums start at 32 points for the first 6 months, then 30 points from 6-9month olds, and 28 point until 12 months or until you finish breast feeding. Then I think we starve to death because we drop to about 22!!
Onya Bellagirl! Let's see your success next week!
I'm having a pretty good week so far (apart from the crumbed fish and gorgeous chips last night! ). I have heaps of product ideas that are as low, if not lower, than some of the weight watchers products, and cheaper too! Let me know if you'd like to know any and I'll post some.
But please can you all share some things you like to eat that are low points? I seem to be getting the same things every shop! Much appreciated!

Hi Babytoo, glad to see you back. It's really hard in winter to find the motivation to lose weight. Have you got a photo of you at the weight you want to be at, maybe looking at that, I really don't know sorry, but I think asking what you have shows you have some motivation. Maybe some new recipes? hi Paula, welcome to the club.
Hi all,
So after a pretty good week I was all pumped for Tuesdays weigh in, then Monday I got the dreaded AF :( This usually guarantees that I can add anywhere from .5kg - 1.5kg in fluid (yep, EVERY month . . . )
So lets see how I went. . .
Start date: Tues 31st Jan
Start Weight: 100.9 kg size 18
Height: 161 cm
Goal Weight: 65 kg
Current weight: 92.8 kg - -> size 16
This weeks loss: 0.3 kg
Total loss: 8.1 kg
Ok, so I CAN do this! Still struggling towards breaking that 90 mark.
Bit of a stumble today, I went shopping hungry and (as I've also got my AF) picked up a pack of bbq samboys and 4 packs of tim tams  convincing myself that they were for my hubby! Well I've already opened the chips and I've had 50g (equivilent to a small pack) and 2 tim tams :banghead: Stupid me for buying them. But tonight I will have a mountain bread wrap for dinner instead as I'm really not that hungry (thanks to the samboys!) and I'll fill it with salad and some tomato/basil flavoured tuna mixed with 2Tbs of light philli cheese - it's LUSH and low points. I'll get back on track tomorrow with tracking and I'll have to do something to help with my lack of will power.
What does everyone else do? Do you punish yourself by denying yourself something if you've had no self control? Or do you spin it and say, ok, if I can choose a better option now, then I'll reward myself later? Your thoughts would be much appreciated!
G'day & Welcome Gracesmum! Good Luck - we are all here to help & try to keep the motivation going!
Annabanana you are a devil!! If you are strictly counting points you must count those naughty snacks!
Tim Tam 2pts (each)
50g potato chips 5+1/2 pts - I'm sure you'd agree they were not worth it!
You just cannot eat potato chips!! They are 'poison'...they are also terrible teeth rotters!
My hint to you is - move junk food so it is not at your eye level in the cupboard.
Try buying rice crackers & those sundried tomato rice cakes are really 'delish' too - my kids like the rice cakes & they are much better for them than chips!
Try an ultraslim milkshake - 3pts or a cup of low fat soup!!
hi janelle,
you lucky girl!
where do you get this product from?

Hi Everyone,
Cheezelkat - congratulations:thumbsup: on reaching your goal!!! This gives the rest of us motivation to keep going (well it does me that is for sure)
Kassiasmum & Tingles - you are both doing really well, keep up the great work you will hit your goal weights before you know it if you keep it up...
Well it was my birthday last Friday so I was not very good but I was aware of what I was eating so therefore didn't have as much of the bad things as I could have. As it turns out though I have lost 1KG :yelclap: Does everyone have digital scales or do you go to WW meetings?? I joined online so I use my own scales but they are not as accurate as I would like them to be.
Start: Monday 10 July
Start weight: 76 kg
Height: 168cm
Goal weight: 65kg
Current weight: 75kg
This week loss: 1kg
Total loss: 1kg
hmm. The scales now say 124kg. somethings gone wrong.
I have lost inches tho :D I measured everything a couple weeks ago and they're coming off :D:D
Welcome to any newbies!!
I do not belong to WW - did it before DD1 came on the scene - lost 25kg in 6 months...it can be done...that's with very little exercise...
Yes digital scales help keep you motivated!! If you can get some that would be super - good ones are around $70 Target / Kmart - You can buy WW ones at Target - I think they would be pretty acurate...I did buy some from Kmart, only to return them the following day as they were very inaccurate!! Different response everytime I got on!
To all the new people just staring their journey - It is hard work, but you must keep at it! For the sake of your kids, you'll have more energy & in the long run live a healthier life style for them!:smiliedance:
Hey, by the way looking for an easy exercise video...;Walk away the pounds' the 2 mile walk takes half an hour ...in the privacy of your own home (when you are allowed control of your TV:laughing: )
Start: Saturday 8th April

Hi everyone.
I have not done Weight Watchers before, and I dont have a book to know how many points I am allowed, or how many points each food is worth, but i have just started eating healthier and choosing weight watchers products at the supermarket, over the ones i would normally buy. Can someone please just let me know how you know how many points you can have??
G'day Angela,
Generally you are allowed 18-20 points per day...
1 piece of bread = 1pt
1 egg = 1pt
10 rice crackers = 1pt
small serve of rice or pasta = 3 pts or larger serve = 5pts
piece of meat / chicken / fish (serving size palm of your hand) = 3pts
all vegies (except potatoes)are zero points ...1 medium potatoe = 1pt
apples / bananas / oranges = all equal 1 pt
mandarines / peaches (smaller fruits) = 1/2pt
Vegiemite spread = zero
I've been having 'ultra slim milkshake' in the morning for breakie = 3pts
hope that helps

Sorry about all the questions :banghead:
But what about milk?? I have only been drinking the slim milk, that tastes more like white water than milk :o . Just wondering though how many points this is worth, for example with my cereal, or in tea/coffee??
Thanks for the help.. ;)
I am so glad that someone started these threads on the site. I've just started doing weight watchers by myself from home, without any meetings etc. my sil gave me all the books to read through and the point system book to work out what things I can eat or should say `like to eat' for the least amount of points.
started on the 10 - 07 - 06
start weight 74.5kg
goal weight 64kg
week 1 lost - 1kg
week 2 lost - 500grams
week 3 lost - and so far this week lost another 800grams
(YES YES YES)
just a quick question:
this is my normal routine since starting (food wise)
bfast - weight watchers cereal or 2 slices of toast with fish paste and coffee
morning tea - cup of tea and 2 ww cookies
lunch - toasted sandwich with ham, tomato, cheese or chicken, avocado etc, or salad sandwich or fruit salad and water
afternoon tea - water and piece of fruit or crackerbread or vegie sticks
dinner - red meat/chicken/fish with majority vegies and water
desert - ww icecream or nestle chocolate mouse or cup of popcorn and water or tea
WHAT OTHER FOOD tips could people help me with as I'm getting sick of eating the same types of things everyday????????? Especially lunch time because I still feel that I'm eating too much bread! AND ALSO I drink NO FAT PHYSICAL MILK how many points in that?????? (because skim milk has 1/2 point doesn't it?)
This is great, as now I don't feel like I have to do this alone!:)

Goal weight: 62kg
Current weight: 73.2kg
This week loss: .4kg

Only 0.2kg to go to reach 10kg weight loss, that's got me motivated again and I have started tracking again. This is a good way to try and get back on track, I found that I was starting to go off the rails a bit and started tracking again and had a decent loss this week, so I guess I will keep tracking and counting my points.
Hope everyone is doing well

I'm having a butterscotch one right now! Heaven! So long till dinner, and I'm hungry...:banghead: I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon here... I'm not going to track kilos I lose, but am hoping to fit back into my size 12 jeans... I've done ww before, and it was working, then I got pg, and it all went out the window  ! Good luck everyone!:fingerscrossed: (If only food didn't taste so good....)

Hi, can I join, I really need the support!
I didn't put on too much during my pregnancy but I was overwieght to start with. I lost all of my pregnancy wieght straight away but am so ravenous I have been steadily gaining again. I have started writing down what I eat each day and showing my partner - he would never say anything negative but just knowing that someone else will know what I'm eating in a day is incentive.
Start date: 31st July
Start wieght: 86kg
Height: 172cm
Goal wieght: 69kg
I'm determined to do it this time - in February we go overseas to visit my inlaws so thats also good motivation.

Welcome to any new people, we can do it!
Angela, Ultra slim milk shake is a 'meal replacement' (from the supermarket or chemist) 'made up' as per instructions - 3pts...
1 cup of skim milk is worth 1pt - just add an extra point to your total at the end of the day to account for your daily usage.
Keep up the good work KassiasMum! & everyone else!
Since I began my weight loss journey 30/1/2006 I've lost 10.6kg Yay!!

Hi everyone, I'm having a really hard day today - I just feel like bingeing on everything and anything. So far I haven't but it's pretty tough. I was wondering from those who've been doing WW for a while, does it get easier after a bit, do the craving fade? I'm determined not to give up - I'm going to keep going this time till I reach my goal - I've quit so many times before but this time I have my son as motivation.

Hi There
I have been sitting here today thinking - I should start weight watchers and thought I would have a quick look on bubhub to see if there are any threads and found this what a thread!!! you girls are all so inspirational!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway I have a couple of quick questions which may have been answered before but with such a long thread thought I might just ask.....so here they are.
1) Can you join ww now if breastfeeding? i thought you used to be able to but am ure I heard they no longer let you - if so how many points a day?
2) I have seen the new adds that is no points counting - whats that about? Is t better than the points plan?
3) How much are meetings nowdays??
Thanks
G'day mtjt25,
Yes you can join WW whilst b'feeding as it is sensible eating - NOT FASTING!! If you read the previous pages somone said how many points you are allowed I think it may have been 32? Which seems alot to me...I am B'feeding (7mther) & I aim for 20-25.
I don't know what the 'no points' is about? But I know the point counting system really does work...so that's what I'm sticking to.
When I went to meetings 6 years ago they were only $12.50... now I think they are about $20:eek:
I noticed your postcode... I am in Lilydale!
Have alook at WW website - there magazines are inspiring too!
Good Luck!:yelclap:
Hey all, I have never been in this thread before but I want to start losing weight. I don't really want to go to any meetings etc, i just want to get hold of a book or something that tells me all the points values and how much I can have each day. Is there anything like this about??
bellagirl
11-08-2006, 14:24
 all
mtjt25 the no points plan is a list of some foods that you can eat as much of you like, and you dont have to count points, more for people that just like there three meals a day and dont really snack.
meetings are $17.50 or $15.95 for concession. if you look in this weeks womans day there is a coupon to register- start up FREE!!! so its a good time to get started if your interested!!
Natasha there is a book but you can only get it from the meetings, if you know a friend that goes you could get them to get it for you? they also have calculators at the meetings that cost only $16 and you put in how many kilojoules your serving is and how much saturated fat and it tells you how many points it is!! your allowed normally 20 points.

Good morning Ladies. I am going to join you guys. I am a life time member with Weight Watchers from years ago and i lost alot of weight and kept it off for about 3 years. I put on alot of weight with my first pregnancy and never lost the last 10kgs. I just had my 2nd little boy 2 weeks ago and now it is time to get rid of all the weight. I went to my first meeting in years on Wednesday and i am now all excited about losing some weight.
Start Date: 16 August 2006
Start Weight: 86.9kg
Goal Weight: 65kg
I think it is a good idea about having a 'roll call day' where we can all put our lastest stats up for everyone to see.

Hi guys, welcome to the newbies, hope everyone is going well. I think the roll call would be a great idea.
I gained this week:gloomy:  so am now determined to make sure that I lose next week, I was really disappointed in gaining, it's my first time gaining and I know that I shouldn't be disappointed, but can't help it. I bought a spring season pass today (it's a 17 week pass special that brings meeting price down to $11.00) so that's also given me motivation, I would like to be at goal weight by the time it finishes which is Christmas.

Can someone please tell me are salads 0 points??
what about low fat cheese?

Do your local supermarkets stock much of the range, I had a look on their website, and there is HEAPS we don't get. Maybe I should check out coles, Im hoping they have more than what Woolies has.
