Got a question for CP charters.
Does the cervix goes up and down on a daily basis or does it stay in the same place for a while and then gradualy moves up or down?
Cause i have been checking mine and its like at the biggining of the day it might be really hign and then by lunch its really low
Please help. Im confussed,

They say you should always check CP at the same time everyday because it does change thoughout the day, becoming lower in the evening.
It should HSO during O then LFC after until AF is about to come then it's LF and slightly open unless your preg then it goes HS but tightly closed (this can take a while to happen though, not always before AF is due)
Make sure you check at the same time and in the same position everytime, in the showers is good. (dont over check, you don't want to upset the balance of things up there:rolleyes: )
It takes a few cycles checking to know what is normal for you at each stage of the cycle. Good luck:thumbsup:

I am also interested in this, I have checked it a bit this month and think I am starting to get the hang of it.
Thanks for the info 2boyzmama. Some of your abbreviations are lost on me though (LF and HS?)
HSO (high soft and open)
LFC (low firm and closed)
LF (low and firm)
HS (high and soft)

Thanks french gal!
And good luck with the quitting smoking! Have you been TTC #1 for long?

Me too (with respect to both the trying since Jan and the CM that doesn't meet the EWCM description). I am interested though, that my C seems to be in the right position and doing the right things though when I have followed it this month (currently on CD 17 - I think its O day as well). Sorry if that's TMI. I guess only time will tell if it's enough to get pregnant from or not. Were you on the pill last year? I sometimes wonder if I am still coming off the effects of the pill, since it's only my third cycle off it, after 5 yrs on it.

Well ladies you can take evening primrose oil to improve quality of CM, and if that doesn't help then robatussum (sorry about spelling) it's a cough syrup but apparently it improves CM and doctors reccommend it. I use evening primrose oil and that seems to do the job for me:thumbsup: (CM didn't return to normal after birth control:( but after taking it for two cycles now CM is fine without taking it).

Interesting! I will have to go and buy some and give it a go. Did you take the evening primrose oil all through your cycle, or just in the first half of your cycle, or just on odd days ;)? Did you wait long for your CM to return (i.e. my theory is that it's just because I am only a few months off the pill, and everything will sort itself out in the next month or two...)
(not that I am actually patient enough to wait another month or two to find out... )

I took it from first day of AF until O, then stopped. Your not ment to take it if you are pregnant:)
I've been off BC for 6 months now, maybe it was a time thing as well, but CM was definately better the two cycles I did take it compared to this cycle just been. It was satisfactory this cycle but I think that I'll go back on the oil next cycle.
Have you been charting? I've found that my luteal stage (days from O to AF) is what has been most affected by BC:(

No I haven't actually been charting. I haven't got into the temperature thing. I've just been writing down all my symptoms each day and keeping a rough track of my CM and CP. So it's all a bit of guess work at the moment of when I ovulate.
I think it's really interesting that you say that the pill stuffed up your LP, because I would have guessed my LP to be 9-10days the first month and about 12 days the second cycle. I believe the LP is meant to stay constant each month, but I wonder if the pill (or coming off the pill) could actually influence that. :detective:
Did the BCP bring your LP down too far? Did you find that it increases over time the first few months you are off the pill? Have you done multiple stints on the pill (seeing as you are TTC #3)? Sorry, so many questions!!

I was on the pill before having #1 then we charted as a contraceptive until we got pregnant with #2 then I had the implanon implant in my arm for about 7 months. Because I had charted before having the implanon I knew my LP was 13 days consistantly, but since having it removed at the beginning of November my LP has been inconsistant, inbetween 7-10 days. Last cycle it was only 7 days so it hasn't been getting any better over time:thumbsdown: I've been to the docs this week and I'm having some blood tests soon to see what my hormone levels are doing.
But anyway, your right about LP normally being the same every month.
Hopefully yours will be after a few cycles. Oh and LP needs to be at least 10 days long for implantation to be successful.
I'm on DPO10 today and no AF so far :fingerscrossed: Hopefully it will hold off until DPO 13-14 (or not come at all:smiliedance: )

That's terrible that the implanon has affected your cycle that much :(
It's a good thing though that you LP is at least 10 days this month.... there's hope yet! I hope AF just stays away for another 9 months for you, but at least you know you do have SOME cycles that are long enough. It must be very hard to work out when you should BD though with such an irregular cycle :(
Good luck!
