ok this may affend people.. but i don't know where to put it. so i am going to ask it here.
i have a prolasp of the vaingal (sp) wall. i am worried to have sex as i am worried that it hurt.
can any one tell me if it will be ok. i am worried. i have not had sex in 5 months. :o so i am bit worried that the prolasp might cause a problem. :(
:fingerscrossed: it doesn't. can any help?
Sorry cant really help, but all I can suggest is you take it slow, use plenty of lube, and go from there. And try to relax, cause it will probably hurt more.
If it does hurt or anything, I'd be off to the dr.
have you spoken to a dr?

i have seen the dr.. he said he willn't do any thing till i have had having kids.. so i guess it is a wait and see thing..
Hey B,
Doesn't sound good you poor thing! :(
I'm thinking you should go to another Dr and get a second opinion. If you aren't comfortable with the prolapse, then maybe something can be done about it rather than 'waiting to have kids'. I don't think having kids would fix it???? I think I might have a prolapse but I'm not sure, and I just starting having sex not that long ago after my bub and it actually feels better than it did before I had the baby! How is that for ya! So just take it slow, calm those nerves and see another Dr!!!!!!
Good luck! :fingerscrossed: :hugs:

a prolapse is were some or all of the insides fall down or in. it can be found by seeing if there is anything at the operning. i found mine while on the loo..:o
the dr said he will op after i have had all of kids as it will keep happerning with each one..:(
so at this rate there will be no more. :banghead:
so i guess it is just wait till the right time
Hmmm, I'm thinking mine is similar. My cervix is actually nearly falling out (sorry TMI!). My Dr said it's normal for it to be like this after the birth and it will take a while to get back to the way it was. But I'm concerned as I haven't seen any improvement! And I found mine while on the loo too! :o
But as for the sex, I don't think it would cause any problems. It hasn't for me, it has enhanced it! It didn't hurt either. The only thing I notice is that I just can't wear tampons anymore which is quite annoying! I may go back to the Dr's myself before I TTC#2 to make sure it's all okay for another bub.
I'm doing my pelvic floor like mad! :smiliedance: Apparantly they have physio's that specialise in pelvic floor!??!!

I just posted a thred in regard to this same topic.
Yes it is safe generally to have sex with a prolapse.
As for your doctor not doing anything.....get a referal to a specialist.
Even if you dont require surgery or they advise you to wait till you have finished having your family, they can fit a pessery ring to help support your pelvic floor while you are rebuilding the muscles. The pessery ring can be taken in and out at your leisure (for intercourse etc) and doesnt hurt but it does make a HUGE difference. It would be a good idea to see a physio who specialises in this area. Good luck
