Worried??

Hello,

I have been reading through allot of threads and everyone seems to get some really great advice. My dh and I found out that we are about 4-6 weeks pregnant. Last friday I had my 1st blood and my HCG level was 73. I started having some slight cramping so my doctor sent me for an US on Wednesday. We were not able to see anything so I have been worried sick. My doc then sent me today for more blood and my HCG levels have increased to 850. He wants me to go in on monday morning for an update. He seems to think that this is a good increase, but he has mentioned I could be having an ectopic pregnancy. I am beside myself at the moment as we have been trying for 4 years with no luck, then doc put me on metformin and bam! ppt! I am just wondering what your thoughts are about increasing HCG levels? Could this still be ectopic? We thought I was 5 1/2 weeks last friday but new calculations would actually make me about 5 weeks today. Any advice would be great. :)

was it an internal u/s? if it wasnt then maybe it was too small to show up on the u/s! the hcg increase sounds normal/within range!

the hcg levels are rising so that is always a good sign.. let us know how you go on monday

Well, now I am really confused. Sat 10/05 morning I was admitted to emergency with bad adominal pains, I was monitored and they did an U/S and more blood. They saw the beginnings of a sac and my blood came back as 1075 (Good news - ruled out ectopic):yelclap:. On Mon 12/05 I had more my test and the HCG came back as 1475, doc said this was still low. I had to go in yesterday for more blood and this result was 2490 but the doc told me that I will probably miscarry. Now, I understand that my levels are not doubling every 2 days but how can they be so certain that I will miscarry. I have had only the slightest spotting and only last night felt some more pain but nothing too bad. I am playing the waiting game again as I am sceduled for another U/S on friday with more blood. OMG!!! I am so tied and scared.:confused:

:hugs: for you. These stages are so very stressful. Absolutely best of luck for Friday. Try not to let your head go mad with thoughts - impossible I know.
