Ok.... hold tight this may have been answered to adnorsium thoughout this post but I figure being a newby you might cut me some slack.

DS had a surgically required snip of the little fella and to be honest it looks a little... well little.

Anyone elses little boy look like a fightened turtle when the bandages came off?

My child hasn't gone through it - but a piece of your son's penis has been removed, so it probably makes sense that it looks smaller.

Thanks to DH I now know that the penis will pull back in if the body is going through stress which that sort of surgery would have been. But having bathed my 2 nephews who had the snip I think it looks shorter than unsnipped. JMO

Yeah- I would say it would be smaller- the end has just been cut off? So it makes sense that it would be smaller.:)
I cant speak from experience though- but thats my guess.:)

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Your little one still has a lot of growing to do and by the time he's comparing with the other boys in the change rooms he'll have a better proportion one would imagine!

Oh my little one hasn't had his done but DH was when he was a baby and it doesn't seem to have permanently shortened him - not that I've seen many to compare too :o. Oh gosh, I hope you all know what I'm on about! Lol!

If you cut the end of a penis off of course it becomes smaller.

Circumcised penises are on average smaller, funny that.

I wonder if thats why some circumcised men are worried about their size?

However we will never know the great manly prowess he could have wielded had he not had it done.:D
My son is not done, and yes I think his is bigger then children who have had it done (that I have seen) however that could be genetic also.:yes:

Firstly, unlike what some othe posters have said your dr has not cut off the end of your bubs penis - he has cut off his foreskin.

We had the same question after we had our eldest son circed.

Youll find that because your bub has alot of fat around that area (as all babies do) that his penis will appear 'sucked in'!! ;)...as he grows older everything will be fine...the foreskin creates an illusion of a larger penis when they are little but they grow into themselves as they get older.

as he grows older everything will be fine...the foreskin creates an illusion of a larger penis when they are little but they grow into themselves as they get older.

My bub was circ'd at around 6 wks and to begin with yes he looked very small. He is now 2.5yo and starting to get the 'mini erections' as we call them and he looks quite large for his age .
