Thats right, today i quit being a SAHM. Im tired of cooking and cleaning all day. Im tired of kids needing constant entertaining and attention, of fighting and cleaning their mess, of wiping butts and changing nappies and i have another on on the way..i must seriously need the loony bin. If i hear "mummmy" one more time i will scream.
For mothers day my present is im going to my mums for the WEEKEND BY MYSELF! and god i cant wait...i may never come home.
:hissy:
Vent over
Thanks

I was going to suggest to have a nice hot shower and relax, but I get nagged in the shower as well!
Oooh, holiday sounds nice!

My friend and I are currently in the midst of planning this......
Have to get both DP's to get time off at the same time, and then we are off..Maybe in the warmer months though....
It will do us the world of good to get away for a week....Although she is a first time mum with a 4 month old...so hasnt been through the tantrums etc yet, so I think it will be a regular occurance when it starts LMAO.....
I'm feeling the other way at the moment..I'm a bit sad, as I wont see my little man this mothers day...as I am working....:(

:hugs: i can totally sympathise. However, the word i am sick of hearing is "Oh o mummy." I also assume the worse, and its some times even worse than that.

Oh go for it and have a great time with no kids:D Me and SIL just went away last weekend to Melbourne, stayed in a fancy hotel and shopped till we dropped with nobody other than ourselves to look after. It was sooooo nice and we are doing it again in 6 months:smiliedance:

lol, thanks girls, you all made me feel heaps better. I think sometimes when your home you forget others are going through the same thing *sigh*
:hugs: to everyone
you know what we should do, since all of us feel the same we should just organise a big strike lol. our demands: a back rub at the end of each day and a day off every week lol.
i know where you are coming from i have quit 3 times today
NOOOOoooo. I am anxiously counting down my 8 weeks till I can be a SAHM. I can't wait and now I hear people are quiting. What! is the pay no good? Don't tell me the conditions don't suit? Do you have to do overtime? Can you fit your lifestyle in around the hours?
Maybe I didn't read the ad correctly.
I don't care I am excited. (Ask me in six months and we will see if I am ready to resign or not)
oh emmwill, the first 6 months are relativly easy. see this is how i have discovered it works (and correct me if i'm wrong ladies) baby 1 is great, baby 2 is great, but if you put them together you have a recipe for disaster.
does anyone know where to buy straightjackets from? i may need one before these 2 move out of home lol.

we need to invent something that cleans mess, removes dirty nappies, makes teething easy and stops tantrums just to get a five minute break in between the rest of being a mum!:D
thats it, if i could just have the housework done then being a sahm wouldn't phase me at all. my kids are angels when i am there, but i try to wash a dish, or put a toy away or , heaven help us all, i do a load of washing then all hell breaks loose. hell i might just try to convince dp that we need a cleaner. probably won't work but it's worth a shot lol.

We need a union to negotiate regular free spa days with fabulous childcare and homecooked dinners for the family to take home with us at the end of the day.
Oh I think I'm dreaming
