Good Toys ??

Hi Guys,
Buying expensive toys can be a bit of a gamble. Don't you wish you could try it out before buying it? Breanna (17mths) loves to jump (as they do) and we were thinking of buying a Jumpoline (around $70). Does anyone have one? Is it good? Does it burst, split, get holes etc.? What toys have been a success in your house for one around this age and older?

I have not actually tried it, but there are toy libraries around the place where you can hire toys for a while. Sounds good if you want to check toys out before buying :)

I am a member of our local Toy library. I think it is great for trying things. It cost us $45 for the year. We can borrow toys for up to 2 weeks. Limit of 2 toys and 3 items from jigsaw/game/video category. They have the cars that kids can push themselves along in, little tikes play equip, fisher price toys. Jakob loved his the stride to ride walker so much we bought it. A lot of toys didn't interest him but at least we didn't buy them. His favourite toy is a push along car, as this is a high demand toy we can only borrow it every 2 months. :(

You could try the Strathpine library, they have a toy library, not sure what the cost is though.
Narangba library also has a toy library, but unless you are a ratepayer in the Caboolture shire, there is a $20.00 non refundable joining fee, this fee is for the library membership which entitles you use of the toy library.
