I have no idea if I spelt that right lmao.

Just wondering if anyone here has had to have their kids tested for diabetes?

Diabetes runs in my family, my cousin got it when he was 4 years old. I'm really concerned about DS2 as he has been peeing alot, he pees through 3 nappies a night. The reason why I'm concerned is because that was the first sign that my cousin got. My DS was also a big baby, he was 9lbs(4.1kg) at birth and they were a little concerned about him then, but tests came back clear.

I have a doctors appointment for him on Tuesday to get a referral to get him tested(it'll take 2 hours apparently).

I'm just stressing out a bit and getting a little upset about it because I don't want my little man to go through what my cousin did.

My thoughts are with you for his test.

3 nappies per night is a lot, but then again - how much does he have to drink before bed and what brand nappies is he in ? There are a couple of brands that don't work for DS through the night at all.

A great girlfriend of mine has JD. As you will know it is manageable but still a pain.

Best of luck ! I'll have my fingers crossed for you !:fingerscrossed: :hugs:

Thanks hun :)

He only has about 200 - 250mls when he goes to bed and sometimes he'll have another 200mls in the middle of the night. I've tried all brands of nappies and none have worked, he's been like this for a long time, but 3 nappies a night has been the worst.

My DSD has more to drink before bed and she doesn't wet through at all and they are in the same brand of nappies atm.
