I've never been a big fan of phil & teds because the bub in the back can't see anything... but with a 22 month old and a 2 month old, I need to bite the bullet and get a double pram.
I like the umbrella side by side strollers for the independent recline and small fold, but most times I will have just the younger bub plus the older often wants to walk.
So, has anyone seen/used the new models from phil & teds? Do you know any of the below?
Does the younger bub sit in the front or back?
Can you fold it down with the double seat attached?
When the double seat is attached it looks like there is nowhere to hang your bag or use the storage basket - is this the case?
Is it easy to carry and attach/detach the double seat as required?
Thanks for your help x

I don't have a P & T (don't trust 3 wheelers personally)
But I've seen them heaps - bub sits in the back. Their feet look like they go into the basket bit, so I assume that you can't use that with the bub in it.
If you google the model of the stroller and the word review, it'll come up with reviews of it. Is it the e3 you're looking at?
Here's one review (http://www.bobbysbest.com/phil-and-teds-sport-buggy-stroller-double-review.html) I found :)

Yeah, normally I'm not a three wheeler fan either (or a phil & teds fan for that matter!) but I'm struggling to find a solution for the girls.
It's the new models (http://www.philandteds.com/nz/inline_08_1.htm) - dash & vibe that I was thinking of.
The only other thing I found was the buggypod smorph (http://www.revelo.co.uk/) that I emailled you, with something like the new valco stroller (http://www.valco.com.au/ProductItem.asp?pid=18&bid=17&sid=232). But if i got that i think i'd still want a side by side for longer days out too. Plus i still haven't seen it irl to try nix in it.
Either way it's going to cost me a fair bit!

I'm also keen to look at the new model P&Ts but our local store doesn't have them in yet.
From what I've read though:
- no you can't use the basket when in toddler/toddler mode
- I think at least one of the new models allows you to fold it with the double kit on the back. Old models you could only do that when the double kit was on the front.
- the smaller bub always sits in the back. That is, the heavier child is at the front of the pram regardless of which setup you're using.
- I've never done it, but from what I've read it only takes a second to remove the doubles kit if need be.

I do like the idea of the buggypod. The P&T vibe also looks best IMO, and it says it can be folded down with the double kit on, so that would be easier.
Is there a sunshade thing for the double kit when on the back though???

Does the younger bub sit in the front or back? Younger at the back
Can you fold it down with the double seat attached? Only when toddler seat is on the top unless you get the vibe
When the double seat is attached it looks like there is nowhere to hang your bag or use the storage basket - is this the case? Yes. when the seat is on the back you can not hand a bag over the pram - not that most prams is designed for you to do thatIs it easy to carry and attach/detach the double seat as required? Yes very simple and easy.

Thanks for your answers Milliner and Mrs Potts!
Hmmm, seems like the vibe isn't exactly what I want either... sigh, I suppose I'll never find it so I best just pick something lol.
Nay, I forgot to say before, thanks for the link - I'd never seen those photos of the phil & teds in use before.
I feel like I've looked at so many prams - why doesn't some clever engineer mummy design what we all want!

I have heard that the toddler seat for the new Vibe is quite small. I actually saw it today at the baby shop and yeah it does look smaller than usual.

I had a close look at the new P&T Vibe today. We ended up buying the Sport.
Our reasons for not buying the new model:
- the new aluminium frame scratches easily. This one has only been in the store for 2 days and is already scratched.
- it only folds with the double kit in one position. And this isn't the position that you would be likely to use it in.
- a few adjustments weren't as easy to make as on the older models.
Mainly, IMO, the Vibe wasn't worth the extra $400 over the Sport. HTH

Yeah $900 is a lot to fork out when you've got two kids! I decided to get a second hand maclaren side by side in the end. Then if something new comes on the market that is what I'm after (and reasonably priced), I can still get it.
Thanks for all your input ladies, it has saved me lots of money :)
