Sore nipples again .. at 4 months!

Hi everyone,

Can you believe it! A return to sore nipples 4.5 months down the line! My little man has started grazing, biting and latching off and on at every feed lately, and is very unsettled. His nappies seem okay, but he is sleeping very little at night (11pm until 5am with two feeds inbetween). :sleeping:

I'm worried he's telling me its time to wean ... has anyone else had a similar problem?

Oh i can totally relate. MJ has gotten 2 top teeth in the last 2 weeks :eek: i think she needs to learn how to attach again.

sorry to hear you are having trouble, its unlikely he would want to wean at 4 months unless you are using substitutes.

It sounds like teeting to me if you know an LC they will watch you feed and give you pointers in the flesh, otherwise ABA mothers group for person to person advise.

My other advise is pay close attention to your postioning again like in the newborn stage, make sure you have the baby wraped around you and facing towards you with back straight, positon the nose facing he nipple and try to point the nipple upwards as if towards the roof of the mouth. A quite place might help also.
