I use AVENT bottles and teats and understand that the bottles are not BPA free. I would like to switch to BPA free bottles but keep using the AVENT teats.

Does anyone know what BPA free bottles I can buy which the AVENT teats will fit?

I've googled a bit and have found that Avent teats fit a brand called 'Born Free' which from what I can see is only available in the UK and USA.

Hi not sure if this will be much help as i don't know which bottles are BPA free but avent teats fit on the wide neck pigeon bottles and the wide neck nuk bottles. I think nuk do a glass bottle so that would be BPA free but not sure if it comes in wide neck but am sure you could find out on their website.

Avent Magic Cups

All of the Avent range (teats, spouts, cups, lids etc) are interchangeable. Also great for when it's time to ditch the bottle and progress to the sippy spout because all you need to do is change the teat for a spout.

Working in the baby industy i saw major baby bottle companies (Avent, NUK and Tommie tippee) release press statements saying BPA was not harmful….then I hear through the grapevine that AVENT who has out rightly told consumers the levels of BPA in their bottles are not enough to be harmful, are releasing a BPA free bottle in England next month!!! If they are so sure BPA levels in there normal polycarbonate bottles are not safe, then why relase a BPA free one?? AHHH what companies will do for money!!
And there interesting thing is that 90% (94 of 104)of all independant and government funded studies show ill effect of BPA but the 11 plastic industry studies on BPA show no effects...funny that!!!
I use mam bottles for my daughter and they are BPA free and have been since they started making them...thank goodness there are still some companies thinking about the ill effects of all the chemicals etc our childern induce

I disagree...glass bottles are dangerous for babies especailly older babies. my daughter throws her's!! glass would just smash plus they get really hot.

i agree with kaymargaret. glass bottles are ok for when the bubs are immobile but when they start running around, it' can be really dangersous.

i use the kinder baby feeding system. it's similar to a drop-ins system from playtex. the liners are BPA free, disposable, pre sterilized and recyclable. it has been a total life saver for me - i have twins. can u imagine the amount of bottle sterilizing i would have to do otherwise. and these are great for holidays and days out too. it gives me more me time

they're available from www.kinderbaby.com.au

Avent do make BPA free bottles, so you could easily swap to those to fit your existing teats. I changed over to Avent's BPA free bottles for DD2 about 12 months ago - in my mind if the choice is available I'd prefer to go BPA free. They are a little more pricey than the regular bottles, but I bought mine from Chemist Warehouse, Target and online pharmacies - depepnding on who was the cheapest.
