Just wondering if there are any other mum's out these from the South Eastern area. I am a new mum to a 5 week old daughter and trying to get used to this exciting new lifestyle, which is very different from full time work. I would love to chat to other's.

Hi there,
I'm not in the south east but grew up around Berwick and my folks are still there. How long have you lived in the SE?
I understand the 'very different to full time work' phenomenon. In fact I think the 5 week mark hits a few of us. It's somewhere between mania and fun - so the fun is on it's way!
Happy to chat anytime. Not always on bubhub but you can PM me if you want my email address to chat outside the forum.
Best wishes,
Katrina:D

Hi Newmum,
I'm in Berwick. I had my little boy in December at the Casey birthing centre (Casey hosp). I was in and out in under 15 hrs as he srrived at 2am on the 24th Dec and I wanted to be home for christmas with our other two children. Where did you have your little girl?
If your bub is 5 weeks you must be about to start (may have already) your new mums group at the MCHC. I highly recommend getting to know these mums. It can be so wonderful to have other new mums around you at this time. Which Health centre are you at? PM me any time you want to chat. I don't have one of those MSN thingies-not too sure what it is! otherwise you can catch me in The Chatter Box!
Congatulations on becoming a mummy-it's a rough journey at the beginning but sooooo amazingly worth it, especially when those first smiles appear.:)
Hi,
I live in Lynbrook, which is in the city of Casey. I had my DS at The Angliss Hospital birth centre in Ferntree Gully.
5 - 6 weeks is a real turning point, as is the 12 week mark.
I love it though. I still do a few hours from home for my old employer, which is handy for $$, but I wish I didn't have to :)
I'm happy to chat if you want to pm me.
:D

Hi there,
Thought I would jump in here and recommend our children's swim school at KINGS. It is fantastic and they are so thorough with their teaching. If you go down there and have a chat or phone them you can get more info. They also offer a free trial lesson.

Good luck.:D

Oooh...other mums out here :)
I'm in Narre Warren South & moved to Aussie last year. I'm currently pregnant with #2 but am a SAHM to a 9 year old (I left work when I moved here). The maternity system over here is quite different to back home in NZ, so it's been interesting trying to get my head round it all :)
My daughter was going to Kings through school...she really enjoyed it. I also hear the pool near Fountaingate runs kiddies swim lessons as well & they looked quite good.

Hi Epiphany,
A belated welcome to Australia to you and to bubhub. I love King's as a swim school. We have taken this term off though as my son is swimming with his school at another pool and it was on the same day. Two lessons in one day is a bit much for a 7yo!
When are you due to have bub? Are you having him/her locally?
:D
Hi I'm from Pearcedale, we have 3 girls all born at Monash medical centre in Clayton, my 2 eldest girls ride horses and do ballet, so we are busy busy, but its good fun, I remember what it was like the first time round, can be a bit daunting, our first was a colicky baby, its a wonder we went back for more but they are sooo much fun :o)

Thanks for the welcome :)
Bubs was originally supposed to arrive 23 Dec but now my ob has broken the happy news that it's due date is the 25th :o At least I (hopefully) won't have to cook chrissy dinner :p
I've decided to give birth at South Eastern Private. A bit further to go than St John of God in Berwick but, as I'm aiming for a VBAC, probably the better option in case something happens.

Hi,
I am from Lynbrook and having my first bub early next year. I am planning to give birth at Casey Hospital via a water birth (if all goes to plan). We are going to an early pregnancy class on 4th July at Casey Hospital.
Are there any other expectant mum's in the south east area? It would be nice to meet other mum's due around the same time to share our journey together.
Thanks Hels.

Hey,
I too am located in Narre Warren with family in Beaconsfield, Endeavour Hills & Hampton Park.
Not yet a mum, but counting down, only 5 weeks till my due date.
Once the initial craziness of having a newborn i the house subsides, i too would love to catch up with any other mums, and mum's to be in the area.
Please all keep us updated.
Cheers!

A big welcome to Hel's and Kyles! The Bubhub is a very busy place so stay in touch and I'm sure you'll find many people to chat with. I'm in berwick so not too far from you both. I had my little man at Casey 6 months ago and can't speak highly enough of the midwives there. All my care was with them and I had an amazing birth experience. I wasn't there too long though-in at about midnight and home the following day by 4pm! It was christmas eve, after all, and I had 2 excited little children waiting for me at home!:D
