I've never been to the zoo and Chelle tells me there are two entrances so anyone have a better suggestion for where to meet ??

Melbourne Zoo is located only minutes north from the city centre, within Royal Park. Car parking is available or you can take the tram or train. Tram 55 runs from William Street Monday through Sunday. Trains run from Flinders Street Station on the Upfield or Gowrie lines Monday through Sunday, stopping at Melbourne Zoo's own Royal Park Station.

We prob won't be there much earlier then original meeting time as it's quite a journey from here, prob about 2 hours all up with drive and two trains.

JoLily and I will be coming on the Frankston line so anyone else wanna travel in with us so you have some company on the long trip then let us know.

The BH ribbons can be ordered from BH main page and are a pink ribbon, like one you get at school sports days with BubHub written on it. Mine was second hand and a bit raggitty now, will haveto dig out the handbag it's still attached too, otherwise I'm sure we will be able to spot each other just milling around that statue.

Oh NO GUYS!!!

I decided this morn that I would go along. got there about 15 mins late.. went to the (non existant) Elephant statue.. didnt see anyone... started looking at the animals and eventually caught up with a few hubbers....

the group split up pretty fast though, Its hard with kids (especially MINE :rolleyes:)
But the boys and I had a lovely afternoon with Sethsandrubysmum (and Dad and Seth and Ruby !)

It was also nice to meet others such as KayteO, Ml2tope, Jolily and all the other ladies too :thumbsup:

Hope to meet you all again at a location that we could actually chat at :p

Oh I'm sooo sorry for the people who came and never found us.
We were at the central part at 11am then went in search of an elephant staue which we found at the entrance to the elephants just down from the main gates and we did wait until 11.50am but kids were itching to be fed so they could go see the animals.
We all had name tags on and my ribbon was on my pram. We were so looking out for you especially Chelle, have you mellowed your hair do?? It is a huge place though and when we got split up after lunch only really saw a few others as we passed in the central area.

I do apologise and guess we need better meeting point in future meetsbut glad we all had fun day anyways.
Was lovely to see so many and put faces to names.

Thankyou so much Courtney for "kidnapping" my gals whilst I fed and changed the young man, they thought you and your girls fab, wanting to know if we were meeting you at the zoo tomorrow to finish seeing the animals we missed :laughing: sorry we didn't say goodbye thought you were behind us as we rushed to get to the gift shop then we lost you.

Thankyou Jody for making the tags, accompanying me and my tribe and being our trip organiser so that we didn't get lost for once.

Hope our next central meet we can all sit and chat a bit more but we'll def be going to the zoo again, my two boys & older DD were bit sad they went to the footy instead.

We had mostly photos and video of animals especially the oragatangs(sp) I was sitting feeding D on one side of the glass as the mum fed her bubba on the other side, I could have spent all arvo sitting there.

Hi Everyone!

Thankyou for a great day yesterday, Lily and I had a wonderful time. Lily especially liked the gorillas, elephants and orangutans. Thats the first time ive been since they put they new elephant and orangutan area in, and thought it was absolutely fab....

Both Lily and I were completely exhausted when we got home last night, she's been catching up on sleep today, but she's been in a great mood, I think she really enjoyed it, funny thing is, i think the most exciting thing for her was all the people, never mind the animals, she just LOVES people, especially all the kiddies....TwoBlue, lovely to meet you, nice to cross paths a few times during the day, would love to see your piccies!

It was great to meet everyone, sorry we missed you guys that we missed :( , and sorry if didn;t get to chat much with some of you, it's such a big place, and easy to not see each other all day...but it was nice to meet you, even if it was breif... little ruby and seth are gorgeous, and its always lovely to meet another Lily...

Courtney, it was great too to meet you, your kids are gorgeous too, i loved them, and Lily adored all the attention she was getting all day. (she is a BIG attention seeker...)

Don't have too many photos, which is unusual for my, as im a photographer, and wildlife photography is a passion for me.... was just excited to see dds reaction to everything, so wasnt really getting the camera out much, and every time i bought the camera out, she just wanted to play with the camera, and i couldnt get a shot haha...i'll have a look and post any good ones...

Hope we have another meetup sometime soon.
