How early did you get a + HPT???

Hi,

Im wondering how early you all first saw those two blue lines?
Ive been pg a couple of times (ending in m/c) and the lines didn't appear until I was about 7 - 12 days overdue for af. I hear lots of stories of women testing before af is even due and get a + test result and wondering if im just the minority...

I only got a +'ve HPT 4 days after AF was due with my DD and I had hcg levels of 256 according to the blood test I had the same time. I am not sure why it didn't show up on all the 'ultra sensitive' tests I did before AF and in the 4 days after it was due...and yes I did the tests first thing in the morning. I have heard that some women had more diluted urine than others naturally so perhaps I am just one of them!!?

i got mine 2 days after being late. it showed immediately. good luck and i hope you get a BIG FAT + really soon and all goes well. im currently trying to make mine want to come out lol.

This time and last I got a bfp on the day I af was due. It was a very faint line both times, but definately there!!!

i was 5 days last 4 af.....i did like 3 test in 2 weeks and at nearly 5 weeks preg i got a pos....

well with my first pregnancy i did the test 4 days after af was due and the line was very dark.this time round i did the test week after af would have been due if my AF hadnt gone awol for no reason back in november :laughing: and the positive line came up before the test control line :laughing:

I got a very feint line at 9dpo - so a few days before my AF was due. It was 3pm too so I was very shocked.. even if I was preggers I assumed it would be too early to tell and too late in the day. :eek: :D

I have never ever ever got a postive HPT! Yet here I am with a beautiful little boy!;)

bummer, I was really hoping that there would be someone who would say at a week past missing af that they got their first + result... :crying: Oh well no af's is still a good sign i spose (thats what im holding onto at the moment anyway:fingerscrossed: ). I hate playing the waiting game....

Thanks for your responses though, its interesting how our bodies all react differently.

I wasn't sure when I was due as I was completely irregular but I felt pregnant so took the test and got a BFP. Turns out I had only conceived 14 days prior.

I went to the Dr to get a blood test but she wanted to do another HPT first so she did, and it was negative then she sent me for the blood test which I had done on the same day and it was positive!:thumbsup:

I think I was something like 8 weeks before I was told yes I was pg!

I am now playing the waiting game again as my AF is 14 days late and I keep getting BFN on the HPT's.

I did however go for a blood test at 5 days late and it came back negative too, but the Dr said to come back when I miss my next period and if I am pg their might be enough HCG levels next time!. Hmmmm 17 days till AF is meant to be due again! I hate waiting.

lex, i got pregnant when i was 16. (chose not to go ahead with the pregnancy) unfortunately i tested negative 3 times before i finally tested +. i had 2 periods while i was pg and didnt even know it. i was already 11 weeks along by the time it showed on blood test so theres still hope hun. dont give up.

I was well over aweek late, peeing on sticks with neg results. :) Eventually the 2 lines showed up :p

Still nothing, although last night when I rolled over in bed I got this really sharp pain low down in my belly (dont know if that means anything but never felt it before). Im going to do another test tomorrow morning, ill let you know how I go...

i think i was about 4 days late. my boyfriend kept saying "you're pregnant" and i brushed it off saying "pffft, 4 days, it's grey area" sure enough, we got the test and he was right. the positive line showed up before the 'you did the test correctly' one. :D

I was only a couple of days (4 or 5) late but I used one of those early detection kits which are slightly more sensitive to HCG.

Yes, damn af is still on holidays!!! and Im still getting a negative result. Im booked in to see the doctor tomorrow so maybe Ill get some answers soon. I really hope my body isnt playing some really wicked trick on me!!!
Am I the most impatient person in the world?
I cant even fathom women who dont have regular periods, how do you keep yourselves together for so long? Im a wreck and its only been 5 days.

I made a promise to myself a while ago that I wouldnt buy anything "baby" until I was pg, but its getting so hard there is too many cute stuff that Im dying to buy and hold, and especially when there is a glimmer of hope with af being late.
Its also getting hard to try and relax and not worry about anything regarding babies when one sil had a baby in Feb and the other sil is due in June.
When I hold the newest addition to the family I dont want to give it back... :D

I got a BFP at 14DPO which was about 5 days before AF was due. I done antother test at 5 days past AF was due and the line was as dark as the control line.

Ahhhh Lexy I feel like I hijacked your thread a little I am sorry! I just wanted to point out that I had the same type of thing happen that is happening to you when I was pg with Ozzy!:thumbsup:

I have never had a test show + on time, I was atleast 8 days past expected period for both pregnancies before getting a + result, my sister inlaw never got a +, she had a blood test and found she was 9 weeks already.

Oh I was just about to post this exact question. Lucky I looked first, hey. Well I'm not quite due yet and my periods are not back to normal after having Charlotte but we are a little concerned & I know breastfeeding isn't fullproof either. My boobs are quite tender though so who knows ??????? I should be able to test in a few days.

I got the two lines with this pg at 9dpo. With Jayden it was 2 days after my af was due.

With my first i didn't do a hpt until i was a week late and it was very dark and came up before the control line did. With my last i did a hpt at 13dpo and got a very faint positive and did another one the next day when af was due and got a darker definate positive line.
