Hi,
I'm sure there's lots of single mums/dads out there who have returned to work or are thinking about it. I'm heading back soon and just curious to see how you've coped with it. I love my job and my maternity leave is the first time since I was 15 that Ihaven't worked. (i'm 26 now) I found it really hard to adjust to not working especially since my bub was 12days OD. He'll be 4.5 months old when I go back. So let me know please!!!!

I was a single mum for 4 years (from when daughter was 2) but I feelt that I was single before that (sadly). I was the bread winner and returned after only 2 weeks, part time. I BF'd until she was 6 1/2 months old. Not going to lie and say it was easy but I had little or no financial assistance, it is so much better now (centrelink). I was tired but as you already know - you just have to do it. I really loved returning because it was that little bit of the old me. I was again myself, escaping the 'mum' bagde and feeling like a person for a few hours each day. Mind you, I missed my girl every second I was at work. Even now I miss her when she is at school and my son is at daycare.

Just be organised (lunches) and remember not to try to do everything - The house work will always wait for you! LOL
