Hi All,

My 10 week old dd was born by vacuum extraction and suffered a broken left collar bone. We noticed very early on that she refused to use her left arm and was told that she would eventually when the break healed.

We have just had an xray and the break is on the mend but she still favours the right arm and worse still refuses to turn her head to the left. We've been to the physio department at the RCH and do all the exercises but it has not seemed to have helped.

My GP suggested that I see an Osteopath or a Chiropractor. I was wondering if any one else has had this problem or if anyone else has taken their babe to see a chiro or osteopath?

Any advice would be most greatly appreciated!

I take my little ones to see both a chiro and Osteo.

They do very similar work on newborns and babies, so you would be fine going with either one.
Hope you little one is back to good health soon. :)

Hi. I took my son to a chiro who stopped the continual vomiting of milk that I had put up with for 10 months! Stopped after first visit! He is in Albert park so PM if you want his details. he was very gentle and softly spoken. Cant speak highly enough. When we have another bub, I will take him/her there for a check up at 6 weeks. My DS also was amazingly more settled after our visit. Good luck.

Hi,

My DD sees Dr Braden Keil from Chiropractic Childrens Healthcare. He is great with the little ones and not only myself but a few mum's in mothers group have experienced success with him.

His number is 9499 1800, and they work out of Ivanhoe, Boronia and Gisborne.

Goodluck!

Thanks Craftymum,

I have made an appt to see Dr Paul Chamberlain (apparently he works with Dr Keil) on Wednesday next week!

Hopefully after some treatment my little miss will be able to swing a bat with both arms!

Thanks again!
