Hi Ladies

Would like to know if there are other women in Tassie that have been going through IVF. I am currently in the 2WW (week wait) with my first FET (Frozen Embryo Transfer) for this cycle. My fresh transfer did not take, but am lucky that we still had 3 on ice. I am due for my HPT on the 15th May. I am also chatting on the IVF section of Bub Hub but I have not come across any other Tassie women. Looking forward to chatting with you all.

I just had a girlfriend who went through IVF successfully. :) Im not sure who she sees though. But I'll tell her that you are about and see if she's joined. :D

Goodluck for the TWW! Please keep us posted, and make sure when you get your BFP that you join us in the preggy chat thread!!!

Bill Watkins ..... I looooove this man. I found him to be very kind and caring (although at times during my consultations he lost track of what was going on .. but he does see alot of people).

I had EPU in feb 07 and we got amazing results which is why i could'nt go ahead with a fresh transfer due to OHSS. Bill was absolutely wonderful as i was very sick afterwards and rather disappointed that a transfer was a 'no go'.

I went through 3 FETS and all were :bfn: (transferring 2 embies each time) - we did not do these cycles back to back, infact we would have a few months in between just to give ourselves a break.

On our 4th FET, as Bill was preping for my transfer he told me "every negative cycle brings you 1 step closer to your positive".

That cycle i got my BFP and im currently 15 weeks pregnant.

I hope you get your BFP!

Feel free to ask me anything!

Emma - :iagree: about Bill, he is an amazing man. This is our 4th cycle but only our 2nd ever FET, so far am having small cramps here and there so am :fingerscrossed: all is good and it is going to be a BFP. Have not even looked at my diary to see when AF is due as am scared that as soon as I look then wham AF will arrive - sounds stupid huh. :smiliedance: for your pregnancy, I hope all is going well? Do you think you will find out what you are having? Is nice to talk to someone in Tassie that is seeing Bill, I have been on the IVF section and everyone is fantastic but is nice to know that someone here has a success.

OopsieDaisy& Mischief - thank you so much for your kind words, hopefully I will be in the preggers chat thread soon.

Big :hugs: and :babydust2: to all

Hi Poss,

How is the 2ww treating you so far? I really hope that you get to see that magical :bfp: hon. Try not to analize every twinge or cramp as you'll send yourself crazy. I found that the less i thought about it and kept myself busy, the more the 2ww went faster. I had alot of symptoms in my last 2ww and i thought it was another BFN and i had even contacted the clinic to let the nurses know i was going to do a back-2-back FET cycle this time round .... but i got my wonderful BFP first :smiliedance:

I will be finding out the sex of bubs at next scan (3-4 weeks away) - not that it matters what sex bubs is, im just curious to know.

I will look forward to hearing from you!.

All the best.

Hi Possom
Good luck with your 2WW they can drive you absolutely nuts can't they:hissy:

I usually hang on in the IVF Threads, though I've being mainly just 'reading' lately due to not being totally ready to go ahead with another cycle just at present. We started fertility treatment last January and did 6 or so unsuccessful cycles (no pregnancy, and I only ovulated during 3 of the cycles) we wanted to try FSH Injections and our Specialist set up a consult with Dr. B Watkins....We ended up cancelling the appointment as I had enough and really needed a break from monitored cycles as they are so exhausting and emotionally draining.

When we are ready get back on the TTC Train, we will be setting up another appointment with Dr Watkins to discuss 'the best' options for us from his prospective. I don't really want to waste time mucking around as I'm not getting any younger and just want results and a baby or two in our arms...anyway I hope to catch up with you in either the IVF Threads or here

Thanks so much ladies for your support but unfortunately AF arrived yesterday. I did have a down day last Thursday and just cried most of the day, so I actually feel quite good now. Am looking forward to another FET as soon as I 'O'. Have to get back on the rollercoaster straight away.

Emma - Best wishes for your scan coming up soon - it sounds soooo exciting:yelclap:. You will have to let me know what you are having - I love hearing those kinds of things.

Phoenix - Bill is fantastic, he will go through it all with you and give you the best option to fall pg. he is such a lovely man and if you have any questions he is very willing to answer them.

Big :hugs: and :babydust2: to all
