I guess one thing we are very different on is that Steven is really sporty, he loves playing sports and is GOOD at them. Me I dont have a sporty bone in my body, I hate playing sports and I SUCK at them, no matter how hard I try!
I love to read, he hates to read....I read fast, he reads slow.
But other than those, I think we are pretty alike! We are both messy, and try so hard to change our wicked ways and be clean, we are both hopeless when it comes to wanting to eat junk food all the time! :)

DP is social phobic and I crave social contact
sounds like my ex & i!!!
only prob. is that he gets along with ppl so well if he ever DOES go out, yet i have a hard time making friends at all!! :( it's soooo not fair!! the ppl he meets also constantly contact him & bug him to meet up, etc... i've NEVER had that my whole life!! /end rant!! lol.
DP tidys up constantly. I make a big mess and then clean it all up in one go.
DP saves money and buys a few quality things. I spend all of my money on bargain basement ****.
DP is a fantastic cook and can think of simple dishes to make every day. I have a limited repetoire of elaborately prepared dishes that I will cook every now and then.
I love to read and have boxes and boxes of books and belong to the library. DP owns one book which is an atlas and I have never seen him read it.
DP can make a jar of lollies last for about a month. I get lollies and I sit and eat them till they're all gone. (we have separate lolly jars and he hides his!!...and he needs to!!).
Lots of differences, but not many conflicting differences really.

DH can be indecisive....I get straight to the point
DH is patient....I'm terribley impatient
DH is like slow and steady wins the race....I'm just rushing past everyone to get there
We are like opposites in a way but connect where it matters. We make a good combination:hugs:

I can put my son to sleep in 5 mins...he can't even in 5 hours!!
I can sneak in to check on little guy without a stir....He steps one foot near the door and hes already crying.
I guess what I am saying is that I am careful and I plan and think of consequences but hubby just does things with a kind of bang! Like a ggod looking Mr Bean:laughing:

*he drives like a wild man...I drive like a nanna!
*when i cook i like it to be simple and easy...when he cooks...he’s gotta be all fancy pancy!
*when he’s mad he goes quiet...when I’m mad I throw tantrums!

I'm academic, he's practical.
I have a good memory, his is shocking.
Everything I own has a home and I remember where I put things, he likes to put things in different places and then never remembers where he put them!
I have a very short fuse, he has a very long one.
Someone mentioned this earlier, I have a tanty when I'm angry and he goes all quiet.

I'm sane, rational and normal
And he always does things completely wrong.
Ok seriously now...
I grew up and he didn't.
I know what "housework" means and he doesn't.
OK I'll try reeeally hard to be serious now.
I enjoy watching Law & Order. He can't stand "stupid american **** TV shows".
I happily admit to loving tragic old songs. He says they are **** and I'm tragic for liking them - but then he sings along with me.
I have this thing where I need all the cutlery and sharp knives and utensils to be in their exact right places. He (on the odd occasion that he actually puts dry dishes away!) just chucks them in. It reeeeeeeeeally irritates me. How hard is it to make sure the knives are all pointing the same way??

YES!! It drives me nuts :p.
Ugh me too!!! What bugs me the most is I'll tell him something and then literally 5 minutes later he doesn't remember what I've said!!
Today we were out as I had a job interview and we've been waiting for a phone call about our new lounge suite, which is very exciting! lol. So anyway, 30 mins later we're just about home from my interview and I mentioned something about the lounge and he's like, oh yeah they called me just before u got out of ur interview, it's ready to be picked up.
HOW COULD YOU FORGET SOMETHING LIKE THAT!!!??? lol

It's actually scary how few things we have in common.
I'm 6'2, she's 5'2
I'm australian, she's english
I'm an atheist, she isn't.
I listen to Bach, techno and System of a Down, she listens to godawful whiney ballads
I read SF, she reads fantasy
I'm a geek who loves to fiddle with things, she loves her iBook because there's nothing to fiddle with
I'm boring whitebread anglo, she isn't
I like bushwalking, she gets weirded out if there isn't cement underfoot
I make What-A-Mess look organised and with it, she could easily run a small country unaided
I'm a slob, she's a neatnik
I'm an INTP (http://www.intp.org/intprofile.html), she's a... actually, I don't know, she doesn't care enough to find out, because she's not an INTP...
I play first-person shooters, she plays adventure games
I drink coffee, she drinks chocolate
I like long rambling walks through strange little places, she hates not having a destination in mind
I hate all television, especially soaps - she's permanently glued to eastenders and neighbours
I've probably spent six hours of my life in total around small children, she's been looking after kids all her life
I'm about as un-conservative as it gets, she's downright victorian in some of her attitudes
I'm ADD, she isn't
All kinds of things more, but you get the picture. Strangely, we get on like a house on fire. Most of the time, at least.

Ugh me too!!! What bugs me the most is I'll tell him something and then literally 5 minutes later he doesn't remember what I've said!!
I think we all experience that one. Drives me absolutely batty when I have just had a long involved conversation with DP and he ask me the same question I just answer immeadiately answered. It's like did you even listen to a word I said???:banghead:
Funny thing about me and my hubby is that we're very much alike, which is fantastic because we always have something to talk about.
We both love tinkering in cars but not so much that we want to do it all the time, same with computers, our fav movies are action/comedy and we both listen to the same music and always have! When we met is was amazing the things we had in common!
Both the oldest in the family, both had issues with our parents... spooky.
However before we got together I was one of those people who had to have everything done early, if I had to be somewhere at a certain time I left half an hour early, If I was 5 seconds late I'd have a panic attack
Gotten over it now because Hubby never even leaves to go anywhere until we're over an hour late. Its the one thing that drives me insane about him, but noone's perfect ;)
