Help!!

My 2 year old daughter is totally obsessed with the Wiggles. At home she constantly wants the wiggles on and drives me crazy with asking for 'dorothy'. when we are at other people houese she raids there DVD and video looking for wiggles or asks for ''dorothy on tv''.

it is begining to drive me crazy.. i have tried distracting her with other activities such as drawing which she loves but she insists that i put wiggles on then she will draw but only for 2 min intervals..

if i dont put it on she sooks and cries and just generally drives me crazy so i give in...

i dont know what to do... i am begining to feel like i should be one of the wiggles (because i know the songs and actions so well).

My 2 boys were like that with the land before time videos. We just had to slowly cut back on them. They do drive you crazy but I promise they do get over it. You need to be strong and don't give in. Tell her she can watch it once before lunch and once after, then when she is ok with that wait awhile and slowly cut back to once a day. It all takes time but you will get there. My boys only have dvds or videos on now when they are really good. But trust me, it took me a ong long time, and lots of headaches later.

thanks katherine, it sounds simple... lets just hope i dont give in like always.. i think we will start tomorrow. i plan not to let her watch until after her morning sleep. :o

I cant believe you have a son named caleb... i really really love that name and i have never met anyone with the name.

My two dds are totally obsessed as well. I even had a dream about the Wiggles the other night. I was a journalist interviewing them and the interview just wouldn't end :eek: My ds is 6 loved the wiggles and is well and truly over them now so this causes plently of conflict in our house about what to watch. I love the wiggles but do feel they are slowly rotting my brain :p

Hi Jessica,
When I was pregnant with Caleb there was only 2 boys names that we agreed on and they were Caleb of course and Connor, I told my husband he could decided which one because I loved them both.
Let us know how everything goes. Try your hardest not to give in. I have faith in you.
