View Full Version : Sharing the good bits!
Dh flew home today, straight from a 12 hour nightshift. Hes slept for 3 hours then has been up helping with the kids and washed all the dishes I didn't get to yesterday. Swept the floors and gave me a back scratch.
DD2 has cut four molars in 10 days and I've been really stressed trying to keep her temp down and keep her happy. I can't believe he actually listened to me and is helping out straight away.
Maybe the big pot of homemade pumpkin soup I had waiting for him helped.
I've whinged about him on here a few times so I just wanted to share the good bits too!

Yes.:iagree:
We all know how nice it feels to be appreciated, so it's equally as nice to give that back and appreciate others in our life.
Wow, only 7 weeks to go! Good luck!

This is a great idea for a thread to cheer us up:D
I am having a good day as I am packing this afternoon, then it`s pizza, a couple of wines, early night...then we hit the road in the morning to see DH new unit in the Blue Mts.
Normally he wouldn`t here but as we are visiting i know he will make it all clean and do some shopping so we can all relax and hopefully:valentine:

Wow!! That sound awesome! Absence does make the heart grow fonder.
How long will he be gone for?
DH rang this morning and said " Hey gorgeous"
:eek: I was not sure what to say. He has never said that before.
The Blue Mts was lovely. Not sure what will happen at the end of the 3 months yet. I am not sure what we would do if they wanted us to move there:eek:

Looking at The 3 Sisters. It was a great day for it.
:hugs:
Ahhhh you bring back memories of youth, and a bike ride out from Sydney with a bunch of friends. Only time I've been to the mountains but it was lovely. Locals were a bit unfriendly but that could have had something to do with the rediculous mowhawk I was sporting at the time. Or maybe just the weird slope it had when I took my helmet off. :D

:laughing:Yes maybe!! They probably get fed up with tourists though too. Echo point was packed when we were there. You had to wait to stand next to the railing for a picture of 3 sisters!!
You just helped me think of another "good bit" to share. Your best tourist story?
Mine is when I had just quit selling encyclopedias in Melbourne (big problem was I didn't sell any ) so was stuck on the east coast with no family and no money. Scored a lift to Wollongong (?spelling) on my way to find a friend in Sydney. Whilst there I met the nicest American Tourists who bought me a train ticket the rest of the way to Sydney and a Pizza!!! It was the nicest thing and since that day 18 years ago I have tried to return the favour when ever I could by helping out travellers when appropriate.
So...What's your best tourist story?
Let's keep "sharing the good bits." :D
