We cancelled the wedding!

as some of you may know me and dp had our wedding planned and booked for november 8th this year..

after much discussion over the weekend we have decided to cancel it! yippee!! :yelclap:

i know it may seem wierd but we were way too stressed about it and it was putting lots of pressure on our relationship so we are so much happier now.. too bad about the lost deposit money..

just thought i'd let you all know! :)

Just run away and elope no stress no hassles that's what we did never a regret in the world. It's actually something we'll tell our kids about.

I think you have both made a great decision.
I cant stand how the wedding is supposed to be about the 'both' of you and in the end its our mothers (well mine did anyway!) that get on our cases. Whos sitting where, who to invite as such and such doesnt get on with this person and that person, cakes, dress and the amounting cost of weddings is phenomenal!

I agree with eloping and having a dinner and inviting your closest family and friends. When they get there tell them you're already married! LOL :D

I had my wedding booked for feb 07 and ended cancelling the wedding for the same reason as you guys i was stressed, it was putting pressure on both of us and my family had way to much input.

We are in the process of getting married in 2010 around Jan/Feb but no one will know about it till they get the invite and all is booked ect. Plannig over two yrs should reduce the stress on boht of us too.

Congrates for cancelling it is a hard, at least it was for me.

man oh Man, I am so envious!! I am dreading our wedding. It sounds so awful but we have serious family issues with our in laws- I hate my SIL and she hatesd me and is probably putting a curse on the wedding:rolleyes: My MIL is a pain in the you know what and can't keep out her 2 cents worth, I have 3 children inc an autistic 2 year old and a 1 year old and the thought of the flaming wedding makes me stresssssssed. Over it. I would cacel the wedding too and have suggested it several times but dear h2be won't hear of it. Every time I see this ticker below I get stressed- should delete it.
